Good evening, I'm looking for advice on how best to insure 2 cars.
I currently have Car A and the policy with 14 years NCD runs out on 25th June. Car A is actually going back to the lease company on 16th June.

I am buying Car B on 3rd June.
Basically I need to have insurance on both cars from 3rd to 16th June but not sure on best/cheapest way to go about it as I can't get/use my NCD if I take a whole new policy out on Car B as it's tied to Car A.

Tried calling my insurance company but constantly getting useless foreign call centre,as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Any suggestions? I looked at temporary insurance on Car B for a few weeks up until Car A's policy runs out freeing up the NCD but it's expensive.

Depending on the company most will cover both for 14 days.

I had a similar situation this year. My insurer Direct Line we really helpful. YES really helpful. Put the lease car on a temp policy and transferred the existing to a new car. I think it cost £20 for the three week overlap. The advisor I spoke to when I explained the situation was mega helpful.
