Should I reject the car?
Discussion
Personally I don't get these online disrupters like Cinch & Cazoo buying a secondhand car completely online seems crazy to me, despite any refund policy to give you reassurance I can't think of any other expensive secondhand purchase you would make without seeing what you were buying, I would guess this is why they are making huge losses.
As far as the OP is concerned they are obviously quite fussy which is fine so am I but I wouldn't buy a used car in this way myself, best option would be a refund then go old skool get off your backside & look at the car you want so you're happy with the condition before you purchase

It’s not the 1990s any more, the internet is a thing.
What’s wrong with buying a car you’ve only seen online when there’s a 14 day no quibble return option? Better than any test drive and no need for the potential misery of the dealer car buying experience.
As long as you’re happy with the risk you might receive a pup and have to send it back then it’s great. It won’t fit everyone’s circumstances but for those it does, happy days.

In the old days. You'd waste time looking through magazines, making calls and then visiting various dealers, until you could collect the prepared car. So using up valuable weekend time or having to leave work early etc etc plus all the other leg work
Now. You find the car using your phone, order and pay on your phone/laptop from the comfort of your home/the office/the WC while taking a dump etc. The car is delivered and if you don't like it you send it back either on the spot or within your legal rejection period. Zero hassle.
Which one sounds better?

Just to conclude this thread
Great news!- car collected and refunded all within 3 working days, props to cinch for that.
- Cinch have stated this car won't be re-sold online by them
- new car bought from audi used approved, only £500 more, but 10k less miles and FSH better specs etc.
I can't help wondering.... Did the Audi come with mats?

Amazed when looking for a 1st car for our son, a national chain with a "1st time buyers section" they didn't clean or prep any of the cars on sale, said they would be prepared once sold and prior to collection.
Didn't buy from them, bought an immaculately prepared VW Up from a different dealer. If they can't be bothered to even clean them what else are they neglecting to do?
It's interesting how different markets have different perspectives. In France, used cars are never detailed and prepped until after sale. Buyers would be deeply suspicious of a car that had been as they would not be able to assess how it had been treated by it's last owner and would wonder what the vendor was trying to hide.Didn't buy from them, bought an immaculately prepared VW Up from a different dealer.
