Buying a Nissan Quasqui
Discussion
They're crap. But if that's what you want then might as well go for it. I know someone who bought one of a similar age and the drivers door rattles like a skeleton having a five knuckle shuffle in a biscuit tin... which he is really annoyed about.
I would advise anybody looking for a car to buy a 15 year old V8. So probably not the right person to be answering your question about a Nissan Quasimodo

Thanks, it’s not really a car I have considered before but it’s for the wife. I just wanted to make sure they were not too fart gas for me to consider, I would advise anybody looking for a car to buy a 15 year old V8. My wife has a 2017 model albeit with the 1.5dci engine. Tbh it is actually very good for what it is. It's isn't going to give you exhilarating performance or great driving dynamics but it is a reliable and practical shopping car which is why they sell by the bucketload.
My experience may very well be spec dependent as ours is an "N-Connecta" model which has built in sat nav, 360 camera, full panoramic roof with electric shade, keyless entry etc so a bit above the base model

Yes, they're fine for what they are. We have a 2019 (69 lol) 1.3 N-Connecta and the 360 camera is great. The 1.3 is ok performance-wise - a definite improvement on the 1.2 we had before. It does what we need it to do - we have it mostly because Mrs FTR likes the SUV look and it is (contrary to popular belief on here) pretty practical. My experience may very well be spec dependent as ours is an "N-Connecta" model which has built in sat nav, 360 camera, full panoramic roof with electric shade, keyless entry etc so a bit above the base model
We haven't had any reliability issues (touch wood).
My wife has a 2019 model and has extended the lease twice as she likes it.
The engine is fine. Ours is the 140PS but is quite cleverly calibrated to feel torquey at part throttle. This means it feels fine in normal driving, but if you try and drive it hard you realise it doesn't have much more than you've been using. Certainly not underpowered as a family runabout though. Can be very economical too (50mpg+).
Had to replace the battery at just over three years old which was odd. First time I've ever had to replace one on any car I think.
Ours is Acenta Premium which is pretty much the base model but still has plenty of kit.
