Are XKR’s so unloved that there have been no bids at all?

Looking at the PH front page and the current auctions there’s the XKR 5.0 Supercharged that looks like a good example. Except it hasn’t received a single bid.
Are they that unloved? AFAIK they’re not particularly unreliable, but perhaps are a bit behind the times, even when originally released as a development of the previous XKR but to see a supercharged V8 two seater sports car with no bids at all seems strange. Surely a car like that, brawn and beauty should be in demand in these increasingly electrified days? What gives?

I think it would help if they put estimates/guide pricing in like normal auction houses do, I know CC don't but again I see that as an omission in terms of getting would be bidders at least interested, PH have clearly followed CC but I think they need to differentiate or do what many auctioneers do and bid on the items (below the reserve) to get the ball rolling.

It says a guide of 18-20k in the description.Also, heading into Autumn/Winter isn't the ideal time to be selling sportscars as it probably is going to sit in the new owner's garage until the Spring.

Perhaps, didn't seem to be too bad a price compared to similar aged and mileage examples on Autotrader.(That's not to say the reserve isn't some way below the guide).
Guide price: £18,000 - £20,000. That's about a year too late for that sort of wishful pricing.
These are taking an absolute hammering at trade at the moment. I have it on good authority that car buying services have been losing money on virtually everything with XK badge in the last month or so since basing their pricing on the Covid madness, which they have reined in quite spectacularly over the last week or so; I know of a leggy cab that was showing as a £12k offer the other week, now down to £6k.
If dealers aren't having these in the halls means that they aren't shifting on the forecourts for anything like the asking prices they made during covid, and of course private sellers model their asking on dealers, signalling a BIG price correction on these is already in motion.
I reckon we will see tin tops with the sort of miles and history being up for £16k ish at a dealer that wants to move metal and not have pretty cars on their forecourt in the next 3-6 months.
Private sale its a 14/15k car today tops, if you're lucky.

It was so slow that the auctioneer was so frustrated he said;
“Come on this isn’t how it’s supposed to work, you bid against eachother, not just one bid per lot!”
And commented on a few lots that the owner would walk away in disgust.
The market is stalling & I predict it’s going to get worse before it gets better.
Great news if you want an interesting car that isn’t a blue chip investment.
If I had a Jaguar / Lotus / TVR / Bentley to sell I think I’d be worried. Best just to enjoy it.
Prime example was a tidy, low owner, Cat D in 2005 but 75000 mile DB7 went for £9500.

98k XK 4.2 vert went for £6100 at BCA yesterday
Two weeks ago I bought a fmdsh 130k 5.0 XKR convertible for £9,100. WBAC lost £3k+ on that. It’s *very* clean, last owner paid over £20k when we were in the grip of COVID lunacy two years ago.
Great time to be a buyer with cash.
ETA - also saw a scruffy but full history DB9 on 50k odd go for £12k. Solid for £18,995 on ebay 4 weeks later mind you.
I wonder if dealers are all stocked up and skint from the normal summer lull + slowing market?

18-20 is low mileage and excellent condition now.

Any car selling through PH auction needs to be at least 10% under private purchase just to offset the massive PH fee and then a further chunk cheaper again as you're buying through a method with no come-back and no chance to properly inspect the car like you would if you were buying from a normal classified ad. The car would need to be cheap for me to take that kind of punt, especially paying £1400+ for the privilege.
