honda eny1 deal - feb 2024 end
Discussion
It was 100% no deposit and there was only a fiver between a 2 and 3 year deal. This was Tuesday.... The salesman was Richard who I met yesterday when picking up. He's off until Monday but I think his colleague (Ben) should be able to pick up. They need registering before end of month. My colleague is still thinking about it but I suspect its a snooze you lose kind of thing and he will miss out.

Do you know if that was Elegance or Advance? Which did you go for?pti said:
Just had a call from Tony at Cannock, finalising the finance paperwork for collection in the morning.
I've requested that the vehicle be paired with my app (downloaded ahead of time) once I'm there. All agreed.
Very painless so far. Long may it continue.

It was the Elegance model which would have been £200 or thereabouts with Black but the red paint cost was amortised over the deal. I've got 6k PA which is more than enough for our needs.
Thanks for the other comments - had some back and forth with Warrington (two different people but neither of the names you mentioned). They offered one price, bit of discussion, then knocked near as dammit £50 off, but still above the pricing you sugggested (I'm also going for 15K miles). There was quite a difference between 2 and 3yr priicing too.I don't know - obviously 15K vs 6K is a lot different but that makes the Honda's (lack of) efficiency a bit more of an issue.
I'm also getting bonkers insurance quotes, even allowing for the mileage - typically £8-900. Our current insurer (LV=) not accepting the car is frustrating, although not the end of the world as we were thinking of adding this to the family fleet as an additional car.
Picked up mine today. Really pleased with it, and the Wolverhampton branch were great.
Telematics weren’t connecting so a tech came out with a laptop and fixed it straightaway. Worth testing before you depart.
Averaged about 3.8 miles per kWh on the motorways home, 65-68 mph speeds. Reckon 4+ will be quite possible as it warms up which isn’t bad for the size of car.
Screen works well, I like that you can see nav/carplay and audio all together. Wireless CarPlay works great.
PH lease thread wins again!

Picked mine up from Wolverhampton today. A lot of car for £179 a month. Not going to set the world on fire but I'm happy with it. Telematics doesn't work but I'm not that fussed. Will sort it out next week. Did 139 miles home with the heating on at 75 moh and averaged 3.1 miles, per kw. The footwell is absolutely freezing if you don't have the heating on.

Is it all or nothing with the heating - you can’t add a bit of heat to take the chill off? How much impact on efficiency is there? You guys are seeing better efficiency than I feared - one test I read yesterday talked about 2.4 miles per kW, although it was on winter tyres (but ambient was 12C). Interestingly, even on winter’s it still mentioned scrabbling front tyres.

Drove the Mrs's yesterday on a 100 mile round trip and found it to be the same regarding how cold it is. Then realised you can enable recirculation and change which vents it comes out of whilst the heating is off, which sorted it for me. Change the vents to high, recirculation on and no more draft in the footwell. Edited by Panthro on Friday 22 March 23:53

Collected one for the Mrs today from Cannock today clocked 203 miles on charge they had done, all good apart from Telematics initially appeared to be working however when opening app on my phone now saying telematics need to be enabled by the dealer footwell is freezing, windows seem to steam up if no heating on - but can't complain for £179 a month
Picked mine up on Friday from Luke at Cannock, can't fault the service, full battery and the telematics connected as I arrived.
I went down with tonsillitis the same day I collected, haven't really had much of a chance to have a look at it yet.
My comparison is a MG ZS long range. When I set off I was disappointed that the adaptive cruise is a bit laggy, the ZS has an easy way to change the distance and stop people from jumping in the gap. The Honda is definitely less efficient. I need to get the auto hand brake working. I didn't have any wheel spinning, better than the ZS in this regard although the acceleration seems to be blunted probably a good thing. I don't like the seats particularly. I had a heat pump on my Leaf which was woeful, so I am actually pleased with the resistant heater.
Overall nice car, cheap motoring.
