Being a car snob, I have to admit I really like this car so far. There are very few negatives I can find with this car apart from the annoying speed alerts and high RRP.

Has anyone figured out how to turn off the speed alerts? Its made worse as it seems to get the speed limit wrong quiet often and also every time you slow and accelerate it does it again. And again.

Otherwise a lovely car!

Some interesting chatter on the Facebook group about potentially sideloading apps onto the Android(?) operating system..

Same here. At a push I'd say the rear facing camera is quite low res & the climate controls version of 21 deg c is different to mine. Its freezing.

Apart from that, its a dream

Can anyone help me? When reversing, one mirror turns to point down but one doesn’t, is this normal?

I don’t think I’ll be swapping it for a Macan EV in 2 years time smile
Is a Macan really worth £50k+ over 2 years wobble

We'd been to look at one back when the deal was just running out, nothing left at the time.

I've just had a call from Hendy Honda in Eastleigh to say they've got a cancellation, a black Advance model. £250 deposit, £299/month, three years, on 6k miles p.a. Excess miles 9p.

Not as good as the original deal. The sales guy was on 02380 386216.

Not taking it up ourselves but that car needs to go asap!

Does anyone have any issues with the telematics unit not working when trying to generate a PIN via the app? Got mine from Brindley.

EDIT - I see lots of people are having this issue, can I drop into any Honda dealer to get this activated? Cheers

Any Honda dealer should be able to do it, took about 5 minutes.

I made sure they did it when I was there, after reading various tales of it not having been activated.

That excess mileage charge is less than I've seen - the "standard" amount seemed to be 13.somthing , one dealer quoted me 16p. Was an issue fro us as looking at 15K/yr and the car might do 20K.

My excess mileage is 13p plus the VAT over 18,500 miles in 3 years.

Anyone know what this is for by the rear seatbelts?

There'll be two buckles on the centre belt - one goes in there. Common set-up - they're often not so obviously different to normal as that.

Didn't realise the excess mileage was plus VAT - that explains the 13/16p difference. 9p is "cheap" though. Would be £40.mth to us.

Look above the rear seats and you'll see a belt. I believe it's for certain types of children's car seats.

Move your mirror control selector to either the 'middle' or the 'right' mirror and if won't door it anymore. Only does it when in reverse and the 'left' mirror is selected.

If you ever need it, just flip the switch to 'left' and it will drop down.

Being able to disable the speed warning would be ideal, because as others have said it can miss a sign and then have the wrong speed limit. If anyone has worked it out?

Also, would be keen to know if there's a way for the hand brake to be applied automatically. Seems a bit overkill to have to press park, pull handbrake and then power off the car before getting out.

Our current VW Group car doesn't do it - I quite miss it, after getting used to it on the last few cars we've had between us.

Generally only comes when you have memory / electric seats on VAG cars - my ID4 has it, previous Audi A6 had it and both had leccy seats

P278 of the manual shows how to activate it.
