Help please, I need a new car!!!

I have had many changes in my life a (odley) I don’t no what car to get. It’s an odd list of wants and my mind is broken so I can remember what I would have needed.

The car must take 3, me and 2 children. It should be UK car but that’s not a must. It should complement my others and give me something to fill the boxes they don’t. I have a defender 110 for adventure, a series one LandRover for towing boats and moving engines (it’s also carbs), an Morgan plus4 (for Lonley driving) and an mx5 track car (easy to replace when my talent fails. I have lost my Bentley t1, ranger rover l322 and triumph herald. I miss the luxury and easy long distance cruiser. I would to enjoy the Nurburgring with my children and want something faster and more driver oriented than the RR. I may possibly replace the l322 if I don’t find something else that I really think will suit me for years.

I have thought of many Jaguars. XE & XF, both have leather dashboards (like RR and Bentley) but they seem a bit new.

Jaguar XK - possibly too small a back seat. On child in front with seat forward would give space in the back.

BMW m3 / m5 will do Nurburgring trips but they don’t have proper luxury (no leather dash) and are a bit obvious.

Porsche 911 have better back seats than the xK jag but they seem a little obvious again.

This is where my mind ends. I have sustained a brain injury and no longer have a mind that I trust. What else should / could I consider.

I’ll not take offence and I hope you don’t I site my own pinions on your ideas .

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes… I am starting to assume that the two no longer go together… except from a jaguar, who seem to understand that leather dashboards speek luxury and superchargers speek performance. BMW have more performance In their sights (possibly).

Okay… that is interesting… so how would I find an e46 m3 or 330ci, in bile yellow with a leather dash…???

Is this something that I just need to spend hours in classified adds for or do I look up a specialist dealer and sight my desire

Alfa Giulia can get leather dash. Veloce looks lovely, or Quadrifoglio if you want uber performance (510 horse)..

Sadly I think you'd need to spend hours in classified ads. Phoenix Yellow was a pretty rare colour choice!

It's probably too new and won't have a leather dash but otherwise I reckon a Mustang GT would be entertaining.

I think I should have remembered that PH is where to talk. Already I have found the BMW did do leather as an option and I’d not thought of Alfa. I remember (fondley) the Alfa rental cars at the Nordschlife some 15-20 years back. I coveted one then but was too young to rent so…. I didn’t 😂

Thanks already and again.

I still think that a foreign car may ‘mess up’ my stable (the Mazda is disposable and unloved ) but I did race in BMWs, I have had vws and I probably should get over it… maybe my children can love an xkr coupe or I can find a coupe jaguar that’s a little more roomy. It’s a shame the xJc didn’t continue 😂

Phoenix Yellow !!! Thank you (sincerely)… I’m not sure ‘bile’ would be in a catalog lol

If I can get over myself enough to return to Germane, Italian, etc. I can’t imagine getting a Mustang. (Tongue firmly in cheek) there could be a reason the American muscle is a thing in itself…. Envy perhaps 🤔

m3cutters forum would also be a good place to scope if your heart is set on the e46 m3

If you want a touch more luxury than an M3 or M5 then one option would be a Bentley Continental GT GTC Speed.

I'm sorry you have sustained a brain injury that is impeding your cognition. I presume you and the right medical professionals feel you are well enough to be still driving?

If you want a luxury car that'll make mincemeat of the journey to the ring & then have a ball driving around it, then I'd suggest taking a very good look at the S63 coupe the 5.5TT V8 is a bombastic drivetrain & the car properly handles:

Of if you want to spend less then there's the CL63, these are blody good but the newer platform on the S class is dynamically better:

Panamera Turbo S:

GTS:

XFR-S, not as luxurious as the above but these are that extra bit special:

Ghibli Trofeo, you didn't say the budget:

Brave pill, just in terms of maintenance:

As much as I need . I’d like to spend less than 10k but could go up to about 50k, I’d rather not 😂

Thank you. The DVLA and medical professionals are working on me being allowed to drive again
