Was on the reserve list but I just managed to get a place next week for trackdays at the 'Ring on Monday and Spa tuesday through 'Destination Nurburgring', anyone else from here going?
Had a check through the sticky thread but looks like most of you did July over October.
Planning on heading over Saturday, hopefully Jetstream will have my car finished by then thumbup

Hi Rob,

Would of been great if you were there plus all the usual supects.

Temporarily got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups for this trip due to the Trofeo's being indpendently tested any time now for premature wear etc ect, 4 trackdays not even heavy ones the cords are coming through the rears during the Zandvoort day which is unacceptable although the grip is monumental as we know. I'l let you know our findings. Very disappointed with Pirelli & there poor response giving me the only option to take it further. It compounds it even worse how well the Corsa's performed in regards to wear n grip for many years. They didn't wear out just the heat cycles diminished during time...

I did contemplate the Trofeo R but the rears on James's car touch the body due to being a 40 instead of a 35 plus in principle I'm not giving Pirelli another penny until I'm refunded the near £1300.00 or adequate replacements.

I was with Steve & Matt at Snetterton a few weeks ago, being out with Matt I assessed the new Cup's he has on CSL & they performed superbly plus a good test due to the way Matt drives which is nothing short of epic & to be fair as well Sumo in Tommi was 'on fire' too... smile

See you soon

Shaun

Cups are an awesome tyre Shaun, treat them with care in the wet/standing water, just as you would with corsas and they'll be a cracking tyre for the millennium falcon smile

Even when had some heat in the cups they were great in the damp conditions at croft a couple of months back.

Have wimped out and put some supersports on the car for this trip - but then Gav and I are staying all week and the remaining forecast doesn't look fantastic. But all that can change in 30 mins in the eifel mountains wink

You on party boat Friday? Should be good fun

See you soon bud

Hi Conleth,
Yeah, on Partyboat but not till late as I'm at a Funeral then a wake afterwards from 2.15pm. Neil & his son Jase will be on earlier.

Thanks for tyre advice I'll do same procedure as Corsa's for warming up. I went for them as require a tyre that can do 2 consecutive laps without running off which Corsa's & Trofeo's did.
As used Pirelli for over 8 years now Michelin it's I assume having a Beef Curries for 8 years then straying to a Chicken version.... I'm sure it will be fine smile

Look forward to seeing ye & walloping your new Waffewagon laugh
