Hadn't seen that, thanks. Just read the comments too - some very silly annoying ones, good on sjc for injecting some first hand knowledge!

There will always be two sides of the coin. Along with those who hate because they are jealous as the couldn’t even dream of owning one. Here, rightly so will be full of love as we are all either owners or have a good feeling towards the marque.

Threads like that one are only a good thing as it’s keeps attention on the car and reminds people of them from the past. I took a positive vibe from reading it smile

I went to view the featured car when I was looking to buy mine. A lovely car indeed.

Never seen so many for sale as there is at the moment, 12 on PH [ 2 sold] but that's considerably more than normal .What's going off?

No idea, I bought mine about 3 weeks ago.

Got back from Ring last weekend and I'm off to Spa on Friday. I simply cannot get enough of it...!

Already planning a long list of mods and upgrades biggrin

Great cars ,I was sat with my mate the other day talking cars and I was saying how my daily driver [BMW M3 ] didn't seem that fast .You've been driving your Noble haven't you he replied .
Good point hadn't realy thought about it until then.

Which M3? E46? I sold mine earlier this year and I am regretting it. I'm considering getting another one for daily use (not a lot of miles)

The Noble is a superb car on track, and to be honest, with ear plugs in, perfectly acceptable on long journeys.

Yes E46 and I am missing mine as well .It had 48000 on the clock when I bought it as my daily .It was too nice to keep using it for that so I like to think I was doing it a favour by letting it go to a good home to be looked after as a toy.Great cars .

I had the use of a friend's E46 M3 SMG cabriolet for about 6 weeks daily and I couldn't understand the love - but then it was a cab and it was SMG which on the road was just awful...

I now have an E93 335i cab with DCT as a daily when my wife lets me use it. Incredible difference to the older M3 of similar vein and another friend has a manual E90 M3 which he tracks regularly. His view is that it's perfect and anyone should try one at least once, although mine is actually faster in a straight line after a few very cheap and simple upgrades.

There has been a large increase in perceived values in a pretty short time span, so that makes some revaluate hanging on to them (especially if there not being used much etc).

We are into the least popular car buying period - and hence an odd time for prices - as less "sold" benchmarks. Granted, if you want one it doen't matter when, but February-March onwards is best - IMHO scratchchin

Cabs are a different car to the coupe ,flexible and creaky ,mine was SMG coupe and I loved it [the CSL is SMG for a reason] makes more sense on the open road than round town .Good E46's are now more than early e92's and they will only go one way .

I loved my E36 M3... it did 170k before being replaced as my everyday car by the noble, i used it for a few more track days afterwards but it eventually got written off by a fiesta boy racer doing handbrake turns in the pub carpark while i was having a cheeky one (I got paid out).

An E60 M5 replaced the noble as my everyday hack a few year later, another M car i still love (have 2 now).... BUT all the M cars I have had always felt average in performance because of the Noble lol.
Not sure i can or will ever replace the noble with something faster!

Any reasons for not going with it?

Nothing to do with the car, all to do with the dealership selling it.
