Joust, thanks for that - you've made me want a noble even more!

ErnestM, are there any narrow twisty roads near you, I'd love to see a video of that. But here's a rough gist of what I thought watching your country drive video.
"Nice looking Esprit, this should be fun! He's gonna floor it any moment now... oh... OK, after he's passed that next car... oh... why isn't that sign blurred? let's hear it roar... oh here comes a corner, excellent... oh."

Really - I would have thought the "Donno why but the other 'alf was right upset at me when I got back - something about nicking a "tripod" (I thought that was a TV series from the 80's) and the CD case. " would have given it away......

Well, yes, I did see that bit. But there was sufficient doubt in my mind from all the other stuff to make me think that maybe you weren't talking about a tripod. Or maybe you were. Or maybe not.

And that got me thinking about camera mounts so I did the Google search.

And now I shall get me coat.

Well I do have a bracket that I used to use in my Exige and Elise

www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm

I haven't tried it in the M12 yet though

Bonce, You're near me so I'll let you know when I get mine and take you for a spin in it, should be January next year!

On the subject of tripods and mounts, I use the b-hague suction mount, excellent piece of kit, except it doesn't fit on the back screen of the M12!

Believe it or not that wa 55mph on one of the most narrow roads around me (It just doesn't look it) Remember - this is the States where 6 lane superhighways are the norm. I will take the car out on the highway next and get some growl. My main purpose for the video was to test my in car camera system that I had set up....

Mine is a standard tripod wedged in behind the passenger seat. Puts you at eye level of what the passenger would see. Great minds and all that....

I agree speed doesn't always come across that well on camera. There is a bit in the track day video I did with the Noble going down the back straight of the Bedford circuit. We passed an AC Cobra which looked to be pottering along when in fact we went past it at 140mph! Bring it on!

Good God, I've seen narrower major trunk roads over here in the UK!

Now you know why we have such big cars

Also, on the video two other things to note:
1. The double yellow lines mean - passing verboten
2. The reason that I didn't include video after the last major turn is because it jumps from 50mph limit to 25mph and I had to slow considerably. The local constabulary use that turn as one of thier favorite bushwack areas...

Joust - how did you get the camera so steady?

Either you have an extremely steady-handed cameraperson or you have some technology at work there. Which is it?

JonRB - check out the 'Cameras & Clamps' link to the left here
