Downchanges are crap, upchanges full bore are terrible.
Sounds is good though
Tis a bit slow though, still, good to pose with the roof down.
Piccies later.

Ah, yes the 430 changes are quite a bit better. The 360 on non sport mode (or what ever it's called) is so bad I couldn't believe they let it out of the gates like that.Downchanges are crap, upchanges full bore are terrible.

Sport isn't that much better. A shocking system, so bad, I can't see me keeping it past this weekend.
Yup, sport is only sport compared with the other effort. That said it's better than the 355. The 430 is getting more like it though. If it wasn't for the 'what is it doing to my expensive clutch in traffic' feeling I got in London all the time I'd be tempted with it as an option in any car. Disappointingly, chatting to a chap who had been rolling road tuning an Enzo, he told Mr Yellowshed and myself that the standard setup on them was actually worse than the 430. Problem is Ferrari would let the engine ECU tuning software out, but not the clutch/gearbox software, so the nasty shunts and jumps couldn't be fixed. Tuning on semi auto's is definitely an engine and drive-train job, and obviously hideously hard to get right.
That 'burning clutch' feeling just doesn't go away does it?
I'll probably play with the 430 a bit more to give it a bit more of a chance to grow on me, but I'm decidely underwhelmed by this 360 (still, that isn't just the gearbox).
Alternativly I might just cut my losses and play with the manual Lambo

Always stick with the manual!! Of all the enzo's, carerra GT's, Konigseggs and Lamborghini's I've owned, not to mention the Panoz, SLR, Zonda and CLK GTR, I have always far prefered the ones with a good honest manual change.
Its an expensive game to play though. Don't know what I would do without my trust fund. and 3rd bottle of wine

Greg, I may be interested in purchasing one of your yachts (the big one with the helicopter pad) - let me know if interested?!
I'll second the comment about the 360. I had one for a week and it was rather hard work, lifting off the throttle to change gear made a big difference to the box and when you 'got it right' it wasn't at all bad to be honest.
BUT then I jumped into a Gallardo and that made the Ferrari look like a tractor in comparison. Much better box and car all round.
And I know I'll probably be stating gthe obvious but everyone does put it in neutral at the lights??? The one I hd needed a new box afer less than 7k because the previous owner didn't do this and didn't lift off slightly on changing up

That whole neutral thing at the lights is a pain, and to be honest, if I wanted to lift off I'd have a manual.
I think therefore I'll be putting the F1 360 in the 'overpriced and under engineered' catagory. Still, as I said I didn't pay list for it, and as a £60k second hand car it's not that bad value, but clearly you are paying more for the badge than the actual value of it.
Another thing is how poor the cabin is. It's ergonomics suck (just exactly why is the window winder where it is - stupid!), and the heavy stitching on the leather gives a lovely (read bloddy awful) reflection in the windscreen to such an extent it would drive me insane if I had to see it every day. I think Luigi needs to ring up Lee and ask him about how to reduce reflections....
It's turning circle is exceptionally bad - so bad I've already wacked a kerb with the front bottom of the 'bumper' (think that's going to cost a bit)..
