Was at a war memorial yesterday to remember fallen comrades, it was in Bladon in Oxfordshire (where Winston Churchill is buried). The 2 mins silence had just began and I could hear some car rev ing its engine and loud music coming from the said car, the driver was also asking in a loud and abrupt voice why he could not come through the road (all traffic had been stopped as a mark of respect).

My GF held my arm as I was ready to come down the road and ask you why you could not turn your car off and let many of the people there think of those who have lost their lives for this country, I was really hoping you would back chat me but thats another story.

The 2 mins silence went with you revving your engine and keeping your music playing then a speech was delivered off a WWII veteran who was very tearful and my blood starting boiling as you continued revving your engine, so I thought enough is enough and left the memorial to come and have a chat, by this time you had spun round in your car due to your impatient behaviour. So cut a long story short I really do hope we meet again, it was a green Noble.....did not catch a glimpse of the driver but you really are a tosser mate......

Utterly disgusting.

If it were not for some of these people standing at that memorial yesterday I am damn sure he would not be revving up a Noble today!

What is wrong with society nowadays?

I'll jump in straight away (as I have a green Noble) and say it was'nt me. At 11 O'clock I was driving my work car...when the bells started chiming on the radio I pulled over, turned my engine off, and just sat there for a while thinking of all the men and women who gave there lives for us. I, for one, will never forget.

Martin.

That sort of thing just infuriates me. I'm sure there would have been someone there who'd have advised the inconsiderate individual as to what was taking place. Complete and utter lack of respect!

Even at Snet on Sunday the track was closed at 11am with several mins silence and 'last post' played over the tannoy system.
As it should be.

Martin, not sure anyone would ever call your car Green TBH.

I'm surprised at the insensitivity of it. However, having had "similar" happen when I was following behind my brother in a box inside a horse drawn carriage I'm somewhat not surprised - the sanctity of life (ergo death) is something that wasn't lost during our generation IMHO.

It looks like we are all one here.

I also have a feeling the guilty party is either not a member or not putting their hands up.

I'm guessing not a member. He/she probably hasn't learned to read yet

A sombre moment requiring reflection and the utmost respect. It's very sad that the person in question is so ignorant.

They will get their comeuppance when they come to try and sell a green car!

Especially if the car's still blacklisted by someone who likes to compete in the "world gym challenge".

You realise that the two minute's silence is not actually obligatory?

If someone told me I 'HAD' to stop as a mark of respect I'd be pretty p1ssed too.

Sure, carry on regardless (matron!) with what you're doing but revving an engine and playing music loud IF you knew about the 2 minutes silence is plain disrespectful! scratchchin
