I'm thinking seriously of getting myself an M12 but have no idea what to look for or what they are like to live with, what options do they come with, what are the pitfalls, is there any luggage space etc etc ?

Any help welcomed

Also does anyone know this car, is it a good one?

mmmmmm

you wont go far wrong with one of these but,as always make the use of the search button as there is soooooo much info from the knowledgeable people on here.as a guide though the early as mine have marelli ecus which are none mappable and can give problems although the mbe ecu is showing signs of its age, chassis can rot,imo a full service history on the older cars is worth diddly squat i would prefer a car that has been looked after and pampered by its owner and followed this forum for upgrades and help.if your looking for a bmw build quality then forget it as tiewraps seem to be the order of the day .i might be wrong but i think the black one has been for sale for quite a while by its previous owner i think from the sheffield area correct me please if im wrong

If your looking for a 2.5 GTO and in some cases the GTO3, then you need to make sure its had the ECU upgrade(not the case for the GTO3). LSD Diff, Track Day Sump (not essential) and Fan upgrade (2.5). It would also be nice if it has had the fuel pump wiring upgraded.

To be honest if the owner went to the trouble of changing the rear lights then I would think most of the upgrades have also been done. Quite often the dealers won't even know if these upgrades have been done.

I was interested in that car when i was looking for mine 2 years ago, Can't remember if it had had the upgrades or not, but i was put off by the colour..It was originally titanium silver but had a respray due to some very light damadge to the front clam. I was concerned mainly about resale.

I will try and remember the owner profile name!!

Been running around in a porker over the winter. How bored was I ?

Gallardo does sound like a nice idea. How much are you thinking of spending ?

GTO 3 or GTO 3R - whats the diff? (sorry if its a bad question)

Also does anyone have a pic showing the limited luggage space? On crutches due to snowboarding injury at the mo so finding it hard to get out and look.

Not a bad question and not too much difference - 3r has:

Improved soundproofing
Covered headlights
6-speed gearbox and LSD (later models)
Different road wheels

Now what have I forgotten? scratchchin

Depends if you want paper thin leather that wears quickly. M400's reverted back to alcantara, more grippy less prone to wear. smile

Personally I much prefer the look and feel of alcantara.
I know it's very much a personal thing but I looked at a couple of leather clad models (yum!) and didn't like them.
