It's the car I'm waiting for but depending on time lines might get a 3 this year.
Hopefully they'll keep it simple, no gull wing doors etc, then should be easy to make.
Elon was quoted as saying the Model Y will have the “Falcon Doors” as on the Model X.Hopefully they'll keep it simple, no gull wing doors etc, then should be easy to make.
TBH I personally think they look daft having them only on the rear doors, unless you always carry passengers in the rear it’s a lot of extra engineering for nothing.
I suppose you could carry your briefcase on the rear seat and be able to show off the doors every time you stop......might appeal to some

Why would buy a car like the X/Y if you didn't need to move people. I recon my daughter is in the car at least 2/3 the time the car is on the road.gangzoom said:

That’ll work in any 4/5 seat saloon with a decent trunk then?Personally we need a SUV type vehicle for ease of access, not necessarily space in the rear seats or boot, hence we have the i3 for now as the H point is exactly the same as our previous Audi Q3 making ingress/egress easy.
Why do I want a y over a 3?
Hatch for more utility and better cargo space, probably better car camping, easier for dogs etc higher ground clearance, possible air suspension, likely ability to tow.
Mostly couldn't give a stufg about rear seats or carrying people 98 percent of my trips are 2 people max

First public Tesla V3.0 Supercharger Station goes live Wed 8pm
Almost entirely academic for now, the cars limit the charge rate on the existing chargers and operate below the charger maximum, being faster just makes way for things like the Semi, probably roadster etc.@elonmusk

The model 3 is constrained by the charger below about 46 percent, 200kw will prob shave 10-15 min of a full 0 to 100 charge RobDickinson said:
