That will be the same heated rear seats that early SR+ owners had for a number of months before Tesla took them away in a software update saying they should never have had the.and are now selling back to them?
Yes the ones they had use of for free whilst knowing they didnt pay for them and shouldnt have had them.I don't understand why Tesla doesn't sell Standart Range (not plus) version?
It would be cheaper than £40k and we would be able to omit the luxury car tax for the following years.
They could've sell the rest of the battery as an upgrade later on. They've done similar things in the Germany and Canada.
Has anyone tried ordering the Standart Range (not plus) version on the phone?

If they can fill the orderbooks without it, it would be silly to do so.Many manufacturers do "launch editions", fully kitted expensive versions of the new car, they fill their order books with them as long as they can.

If anyone spots a decent deal on a M3P I would be interested
The car is sold in a different way so deals don’t really exist. All leasing companies pay the same price for their cars. In the other brands leasing companies can negotiate different deals for the cars hence deals appear/

Anyone had any delivery updates for a M3P
My M3P was ordered first week in Jan. I'd been told it was on the Glovis Challenge which was supposed to be docking in Zeebrugge last weekend but it got delayed by the storm. It docked on Tuesday but I think that delay cocked up plans for getting the cars to the UK. Another ship is now going to bring them across (the Grand Mark) which is docking in Zeebrugge tomorrow, due in Southampton on Tuesday. There's a shipping thread in the UK section of the Tesla forum which shows that thousands of model 3's are imminent in the UK on various ships. March is going to be manic.

The lease costs on the Model 3 P now are considerably higher than they were 6 months ago. Purchase prices have only gone up by 3-4% since launch but lease costs have increased by more than 20% in the same period.
Ours is through Evezy and they've recently increased their monthly cost by £200 (25%). Assuming they keep the cars for 3 years that's an additional £7200 over the term which is in line with a lot of lease deals I've seen. Fortunately as an early subscriber I get to stay on the original price for as long as I keep the car.
I spoke to about 10 lease companies recently trying to get a good deal. None of them were remotely close to the quotes I was getting in Q3 2019. Without exception they had all gone up by £150+ a month for the same spec.
A couple of them I spoke to said that the finance companies were getting skittish about their leveraged position, holding so many Model 3 finance contracts with an unknown GFV. The fact that Tesla themselves change the prices on the cars on a whim probably doesn't help either. At the end of the day these companies will be dealing with thousands of cars going to auction after 2-3 years.
Ultimately I decided to buy mine with cash because the rates I was getting this year worked out as a TCO of about 40-45% of the value of the car, on a 2 year lease. I'm gambling that it won't depreciate by that much in 2 years.
If you scored a lease last year, or are on the old Evezy rates, you're probably in the best position you could be with regards to this car.

The problem leasing companies will have is It may go one of two ways, the price may remain high for the cars due to lack of competition or the price may fall due to reductions in the new price due to the technology getting cheaper and increase supply from competitors, no one knows
The old days of the a stagnant car industry doing the same thing generation after generation are over and the leasing companies may get hurt.
I pcpd my car to transfer the depreciation risk onto the leasing company as what will happen is anyone’s guess

I should add it's a fake tweet but got me good, wouldn't put it past Musk to sacrifice the current 3 owners to shift a load of Model Y
he knows some markets prefer saloons and some SUVs, the Y is 4k more expensive than the 3 but hes going to sell everyone he can make2 years before the UK gets them?
In the last month or so I have been having a lot of neighbours, people at work, random's in car parks and even a delivery driver yesterday asking me about the Tesla, what its like etc. They all seamed very positive about EVs (especially the 1.4p a mile) and many have said they are looking to move over. Its getting more attention than my RS's or AMG did even colleges kids seam to know about them. Go figure.
