Yeah, solid black is a strange choice. Metallic black, or some sort of pearl black (like panther black on Audis) would've been awesome.
Solid black can look fantastic if you're willing to put in the effort with the right products. Not a good choice if you just like to throw a fiver at the local hand car wash once a month though.Really pleased with ours in grey so far. Doesn't show up the dirt too badly, looks great with little effort and works well with the new grey wheels.
If you have the vin, this tool should help you work out roughly when it was built or how far off they are from building it. Tesla publish on some of their inventory cars the factory leave date and I think for europe it takes about 3 weeks to reach the UK (happy to be corrected).
If anybody tries it, I'd be interested to know what results you get

That's after a quick wash and spray wax, all of 20 minutes work.

However would it last 6 months? I haven’t washed my car since September

and my M3P is being delivered on Wednesday. I snapped up their offer of home delivery, wasn't expecting that, pretty handy. Apparently this will have a £200 charge later in the year but currently being offered at no cost for the first batch of cars being delivered this way.
When did you order yours and was it direct from Tesla? I ordered a M3P 10 February, but have no idea of an estimated delivery date. Flying machine said:

Ordered first week of January (leased). They quoted 'up to 12 weeks', going to be 9. There's a lot of cars coming for the end of quarter push so if you're lucky you might get yours before then. Durzel - they drive them to you from one of three locations (mine's coming from Chipping Warden - BCA I think). Fine by me, I'm not arsed about it having a few extra miles on the clock. You get a 30 min handover and a chance to report any issues. There's a Tesla FAQ somewhere explaining the new process.
Any thoughts on model 3 suspension being a little stiff? I'm trying to decide whether to bother getting my suspension checked out. There is no major problem but worried there is something subtle wrong. It's fine on nice roads, but any poorly surfaced road at speed feels like a road bike with skinnies compared to our other cars. Maybe it's normal. Tesla said to pop into test drive another car to compare, but first I'm wondering if any way to test myself? It's a stealth so doesn't have the lowered suspension.

All three were at different levels of charge though, so it's another meaningless drag race which doesn't really prove anything. Carwow just posted tesla performance S3X drag race. Not much in it really.

And the X was a pre-raven and on the smaller wheel option.
I'm sure it'll get millions of clicks as usual though.

What car 3 series vs. (entry level) Tesla.
Not the usual Tesla performance model comparison...

Some errors in the video (0-60 time of the Tesla is wrong etc.) but generally a good comparison.

I did need to take a double take at the "better infotainment" for the BMW 3 series, but I guess it's personal preference. Not the usual Tesla performance model comparison...

That said, his conclusion: The Tesla is much cheaper to own, better equipped, faster, more practical. But the three series is fundamentally a better car .
