It is certainly a 'bold' design. I'm sure, as always, the finished product will look nothing like the show car.

"So Elon, how many polygons are in the model of the new Cybertruck you've designed?"

"12"

"Wow, 12 million, that's a lot of detail..."

"No, 12"

Twitter is having a lot of fun with this. Bold is an underestimation. Not seeing any positive comments yet and the usual Tesla fans are suspiciously absent. Twitter comments are really bad and this thing is going to run and run. Even some journo outlets trying to spin some positive stories are getting mocked. This type of negative press kills most products before they launch....

And just to remind everyone, Musk said this a few days ago:

It's going to be a truck that is more capable than other trucks. The goal is to be a better truck than a [Ford] F-150 in terms of truck-like functionality and be a better sports car than a standard [Porsche] 911. That's the aspiration.

It's clearly far from a from a production vehicle. It's like a sci-fi prop, but not in a good way.

If it looks anything like that in the final version I can't see it selling.

It's like a Countach and an LM002 had a baby.

It's definitely an, erm, 'bold' design. Not sure if I would swap my Hilux for one.

You're looking in the wrong places then, one has already written that it is similar to when watching the Berlin wall come down. His mum made him watch that when he was a kid so he made his mum watch the unveiling last night. nuts

I was well excited about an electric truck but that can't be serious?
No way would that shape pass any type of pedestrian safety tests.

Just an F150 raptor with a battery and we're all golden!

This presenting skills are appalling. Has he actually prepared any of this. Stuttering, erms, ums The glass breaks when demo'ing the Armor glass, what an absolute embarrassment. Thank god I didnt have to climb into a Tesla on my drive this morning

Its like something out of the Total Recall Film. You can hear people laughing in the audience.

Looks like it was designed by Homer Simpson, fresh from his success with the Canyonero

All Musk was lacking was a set of water skis, a shark, and Fonzie.
