Plenty of people doing that far better than I could and I have no real way of generating new content/info

You dont need to. As per all other news sites, grab stories from other sites and change ot sufficiently!

A blog perhaps, or Twitter account.

well, ive just shoved a £100 on joining the list. can but hope a delay in production is just long enough so it coincides for when i raid the pension pot smile

have to say, the truck ticks my boxes.
-wont have to worry about car park dings
-fuel not an issue
-space for the dog
-useful load space
-all other pickups (on paper at least) rendered obsolete!

it does, however, need to be at least 5% smaller!!!!

Even 5% smaller it won't fir in uk parking spaces so you won't be able to park in the first place to get dings. You will have 25cm each side to get out so hope you are a contortionist. Actually looking at the doors it that are 20cm thick you wouldn't even be able to get out the car,

Would you have placed a deposit if it had been a significantly larger amount required?

Be preferential to trying to turn this one into one.

What do you expect for your money? History tells us its a total waste of time so I've corrected your statement to make it more accurate.

Oh you will be very worried about car park dings. That thing is huge, larger than European standard parking spaces. It's all angles and visibility looks crap. Tesla don't do 360 parking cameras, just a basic reversing one.

You had better be extremely careful or you will be getting a lot of insurance claims made against you.

Can’t they develop cameras by the times it’s launched? It’s not like the cameras are a groundbreaking concept.

It does make me wonder why they don’t do 360 as the cars seem to have cameras that can see everywhere already.

I guess they could roll it out as a software update on existing cars.

Jay Leno did a drive in it and in his video the greenhouse/visibility looks great.

As it is now though, the thing is indeed too big for Europe.

No, it's about the same size. It's also not a whole lot bigger than all the fashionable pickups we see all over the UK these days.

Cyber truck

5885mm length
2083 width

Transit Custom LWB

Ranger Raptor

Doesnt seem too much in it, just the length.

LWB? Surely a pickup should be compared to a SWB?

Depends on the size of the pickup surely? Don't pickups come in different sizes? Is the cybertruck a f150 competitor?

SWB 4972

I had a dually full sized GMC pickup once (in the UK) and it was bigger than the cybertruck and I didn't have much trouble parking it, you just have to choose your space a bit more carefully. Similar to driving a van.

Those commercial pickups the council use are probably bigger than a cyber truck (crew cab and an 8ft bed?) and yet you see them at Tescos & around town quite often.

Cyber truck looks to have a long wheel base to, wheels close to corners, which makes it less wieldy in tight spaces, like a stretch limo.

Musk seems to have something against them. People have been asking for years but he keeps saying no. My guess is that it's because he wants it to park itself and won't admit that it isn't going to happen for years. Remember he was saying it would do full self driving take a nap in the back by 2017.

Adding 360 cameras would be an admission of failure from his point of view.
