I got my M3P in September 2019 - on a 2 year lease, cost me £17k or so in lease payments. I leased it as it was new to the market, unsure of EV tech etc etc.

When it went back, it had depreciated by £7k - purchase price vs WBAC.

However this period also included the crazy used market prices so the difference wouldn't have been quite so large I suspect.

And the market has a load more Teslas now, so the prices might not be so firm.

Personally, I would probably lease a Model 3 now, but I would probably buy a Model Y.

Sorry, probably not much help lol

Currently min lease is 3yrs from Tesla.

From Tesla a 2022 M3P no options, on a 12k/yr lease is £35k over the duration, so if you think in 3yrs that a £60k M3P with 36k will be worth less than £25k then by all means lease.

Fair point, my basis was paying the same monthly payment as I did, but they appear to be £200+ per month more now.
