Moving this forum to American Cars...

Mods - please can you merge us back to EV and Alternate Fuels? I was the original requester of the creation of that group when it started. I was met with somewhat hostility then (accepted) due to the nature of this site being for petrol heads, but it was accepted because one poster asked for a forum for LPG and so the two were combined into what we have now.

Moving this forum to American Cars...has totally killed the conversations and post count. In every other motoring forum, the Tesla page is alive and kicking. Here it is stone dead with little updates and most people talk in other web forums than here. You are losing revenue streams!

There was a need to keep it separate from the rest then, but not now. I also think that the rest of the American community would not appreciate Milk Floats in their forums which is generally used for American classics and sharing a forum with Milk-floats will kill their appetite too.

Its because most tesla owners have fked of elsewhere from this hole.

Harsh but somewhat true. I was hoping this could be rescued as it will no-doubt overtake conventional cars sooner rather than later. There are plenty of people on here that can add value to the conversation. Sadly those people will never venture into such a small forum subset.

I saw a post in "what's new?" From the Tesla forum. Flicked on forum view to find the group and it took me 3 goes top to bottom.to find it.

I reckon there should be an EV section with Tesla, polestar, chargin etc underneath it. EVs are a huge part of motoring now!

Agree. Much prefer EVs to be under the EV forum.

And I agree from the opposite perspective- American Cars forum is surely for cars with specifically American characteristics- Tesla doesn't fit that, they are a world brand. (Nothing against them though!)

Ford doesn't appear in the American cars section presumably for the same reason.

Ford appears under misc other brands. and much further down the list.

The alternative fuel area has improved dramatically since not every thread became a Tesla one.

They should really put it under other marques with companies like VAG, who make 20x the number of cars, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Merc etc

No need, 4 active posts today across the whole alternative fuel form and 5 yesterday.. whereas Aston Martin has 11 active today.

Tempted to agree, although a bit more structure would likely help people to find certain topics. I expect this is in preparation for the growth of EV's rather than resolving any current issues with PH already losing posters to SpeakEV etc.

Been a number of official PH EV posts in GG recently also.
