Tesla unlikely to Survive (Vol. 3)
Discussion
Isn't that just a graph of Google searches in the USA pilfered from Reddit?
I assume the real reason they don't advertise in this way is that they don't need to, they have used their marketing budget in others ways and currently the supply chain issues and lack of capacity are more of a problem for them than getting people in the door with their wallets so to speak.
Anyway, what would they put in their adverts? They have nothing new to present.

SEC filing show that Elon transferred $6bn of Tesla stock to a charity last year as a gift... But no announcement and not disclosed which charity so he could be ending world famine or just tax avoidance...

I know that was a terrible advert not sure who signed off on it. I’m in no way advocating advertising as a way forward for Tesla, most ads are awful and to be honest I just skip past them normally anyway when I can.
They seems to have a good handle on where their marketing budget is spent. Tesla fans wear the “no advertising” motto like some badge of honour though and I find it weird. How many other auto makes also never had a Super Bowl ad this year and no one gave a monkeys?
Why are we talking about this again?

Amen your contributions are particularly amusing. If I’d made millions on Tesla stock like you have I wouldn’t spend my days pumping the stock. Odd.Pumping it to whom? Odd bod and junior on here who act like short sellers and yet have no money to short it?

Like what? Personally, I find the discussions on the subject of Tesla enlightening and, in the majority of cases, quite accurate. And personally, I have been corrected a few times, and thats good. PH is far from the Tesla-hating content that you could find, but it is also balanced with some current and ex-owners who are happy to comment accurately on various subjects. Unlike some pro-Tesla sites that are mutual wkbank of fanboys looking for self gratification.
I'd agree, if you separate the company from the stock (a little tricky given the thread title) there has been some great discussion on these threads over the past few years no matter how heated it sometimes gets.
TBM has waded in with size 15 boots, posted up a load of drivel stolen from various other sources and added zero to the discussion. Hopefully at some point we'll see some original and insightful discussion from that poster that moves things forward.
I don't know what the end game is for these fanatics, what are they hoping to achieve - is it merely a need to keep the stock price from falling and only ever rise above all else? Are they really that deep in financially that the stock is all that matters?

Completely agree. I have learned some stuff and thats a good thing!I 'think' I know stuff and I have opinions. But it really needs to be tested and countered. If I am wrong, great, tell me! Please! That way I can re-think my opinions. I would hate to be in a situation where I am 100% convinced I am correct 100% of the time. That leads to a slippery slope....
Oh wait....

Its crap like this Hitler thing that makes me think he is just a very good Troll.
He has no qualifications in pretty much everything he does - he's not qualified in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, production engineering or astrophysics. He hasnt created anything in any of the companies he's involved in. Though I will accept (after checking Wikipedia) that he does have a couple of Physics degrees.
Which makes me think - he's just an utter narcissist who craves attention, positive or not. And he has developed a mechanism to do this while weaponizing Twitter. So yeah, a complete Troll who revels in the attention that he gains while the great un-washed masses of Fanboys lap up his wise statements and acute observations as a cultist does for their 'great leader'.
And the Hitler thing is just one of a number of these moronic ill-advised steps in current topics du jour. As the saying goes, "dont feed the Troll", unfortunately there are plenty of people who do, and the f**kstick loves it.....

Taking away my personal feelings, and being objective - He is the second wealthiest person in the world and that doesn't happen by chance - he is immensely talented and head and shoulders above most. As he is out competing all but one of the $7.9 billion people on Earth!Has numerous faults, and makes strategic errors, but not enough for other to capitalise on, strangely.

Yep, he’s bright ok. Whether he’s clever at what many people think he is (technology, AI, software, engineering etc) or things like social engineering, capitalising on environmental change and plugging into government grants, both directly (tax incentives to build factories) or indirectly (tax incentives to buy his cars) is probably the debateable point. Has numerous faults, and makes strategic errors, but not enough for other to capitalise on, strangely.

In music and film there are two types of the mega famous. Those that surround themselves with people offering great advice they’re prepared to listen to, Sting, Springsteen, Bono, Hanks, Eastwood, and there are those that just fire anyone that don’t tell them what they want to hear, Jackson, Houston, Prince, Cobain, Depp, Cage. It doesn’t end well.
The former in business is Bezos, Gates etc, the later is Jobs, Musk…
You really don’t want to be in the latter camp for too long
