If you got a bit of electric saved up from braking or coasting then it has around 450brake
Edit: SE-L is the only trim I would buy even if it's a bit more expensive
No it doesn't - 345PS (338 bhp) combined power output Edit: SE-L is the only trim I would buy even if it's a bit more expensive
Its simply a matter of adding motor output to engine output

I have one. It's a barge, but by god, when it picks up its skirts, it can really move, much to the surprise of various people (including me, initially). As said above, hi-torque electric motor plus 3.5 litres plus autobox = rapid acceleration from any speed to any other speed you like.
Average 33-34 mpg (best 38 to 40-ish on long journeys if just wafting).
I didn't buy it for economy - I bought it because it's just a brilliant car for driving about daily. It replaced a diesel which was more economical but a bleeding drudge.

Do the rear seats fold flat?
And do they all have that "wood"?? If so, is it replaceable??!
Seats don't fold (the hybrid battery is behind them so you couldn't put anything through anyway). Boot space is probaly the one downside.Do the rear seats fold flat?

I think they all have the wood effect. Mine is almost black though, so it looks ok.

0-60 5.8sec or so.
Plenty fast for a 2 ton barge.
5.5 quoted, I think. And no racing gearchanges, brutal clutch dropping required - put box in auto, sport button on, plant it.Plenty fast for a 2 ton barge.
Ahem... so I hear...
I've driven one on an extended European trip, lovely lovely things to drive. Agreed about the "far more rapid" than you might expect bit for something so big, very exceptable economy figures too.
Often owned by exceedingly wealthy types (much more so than the 7 series & S Class) who want something discreet to waft about in, very well kept ones are therefore easy enough to find.

Would the LS600h not be more of a 7/S competitor, the GS is in the same segment as the 5/E is it not?Often owned by exceedingly wealthy types (much more so than the 7 series & S Class) who want something discreet to waft about in, very well kept ones are therefore easy enough to find.
