I had a Mk8 Fiesta St for a while with the 1.5 3 pot engine, that sounded quite nice, sort of off beat throb.
There was a great array of aftermarket exhaust for the MK8 Fiesta, some make it sound a lot better from what I have seen on YT. Some say 3 cy has a different better sound to a 4cy, but I guess thats subjective right! As essentially its half a 6 cylinder

By that logic though, IL4s would sound amazing as they're half a V8! Some say 3 cy has a different better sound to a 4cy, but I guess thats subjective right! As essentially its half a 6 cylinder

Nice, the 5.5s to 60 is probably an underestimate too. I think this thing will probably be faster off the line than the Supra!
If my manual awd experience is anything to go by it may well do it faster on occasion but unless it has decent launch control or some very overly specced drivetrain components I wouldn't be doing it too often. My Impreza only managed 2 hard launches before snapping a CV joint on the 3rd.

Regards being able to add aftermarket modifications to a GR Yaris on PCP Finance through Toyota UK, my local dealership are exploring the guidelines on this and they are contacting TFS to find out the exact policy surrounding this. Currently they have not had customers adding aftermarket modifications through that dealership on other Toyota cars, so they are not sure. As soon as I get an answer in writing I will share it.

I asked the simple question about mudflaps when I viewed the one at Guildford and couldn't get a answer.....lol....best of luck.First time poster... Just read through the whole thread! I preordered mine (Pure White with Circuit Pack) exactly one month ago while I was bored in the dealership waiting for my old Yaris D-4D to be serviced. First time I've ever pulled the trigger on a "fun car", and I can't wait to drive it in October. Hopefully it will be enough of a hoot for me to overlook the tiny boot and effective lack of back seats. This is likely to become my only car unless I hang onto the old one as well...
Signed Sam M's petition today. Hopefully Toyota has a change of heart and lets me have a head-up display, heated seats and parking sensors. Whilst I am absolutely buying this car because I think it's going to be an exciting drive, and one of a dying breed, I also haven't had a new car for ten years and I want some toys, man!

Out of interest, what sorts of figures of signed petition do you reckon we gotta hit for Toyota UK to go 'wow, okay we got a strong market for these extra Packs' and hopefully change their mind. Given end of June there were 250ish pre orders I reckon if those numbers are still fairly accurate, if we can surpass 100+ we should be in for a good chance at this!
Australian petition has 200+ signatures but that was made 6 months ago. Sam.M petition has nearly 65 signatures in just over 24hrs...
I think the key here is continued exposure. Everyone share with their dealers as Sam.M said. I've seen the petition appear on the GR Yaris owners Facebook page. Maybe share it on reddit too?
End of this week will be really interesting to see how many signatures we have on it. We just need people to keep on singing

There were other curiosities in the production categories as well. ST-2 was headed by Mizuki Ishizaka in the #59 DAMD Motul Subaru WRX STI. In second was Masahiro Sasaki in the #32 Rookie Racing Toyota GR Yaris, just two-tenths back and proving a threat to TOWA INTEC Racing’s record run of seven consecutive class titles.

It’s the tiny boot that’s put me off. Already got an impractical Z4. Might get a bloated Type r instead!Signed Sam M's petition today. Spoke with my dealer, they categorically will not share the petition with their other branches or customers, but he said he’d speak to the product team at Toyota.
What the .... - Why not, mine said they will pass it on, whether they actually will or not, who knows. They could have just said that to shut me up. What reason did they give for not sharing it with other dealerships and customers?Spoke with my dealer, they categorically will not share the petition with their other branches or customers, but he said he’d speak to the product team at Toyota.

I am debating sending to to Toyota on Facebook messenger and asking them to put it on their official Toyota UK Page.
Although I hugely doubt they'd do this. They will just say no tbf. May be worth me trying though.

"It's not the way we do things, we don't get involved in petitions, we must remain impartial, Toyota are very black and white" etcTo which I responded "They changed their mind on the circuit pack in Australia" which surprised him.
Either way he promised to speak to the guy he knows on the product team at Toyota GB. I'll call at the end of the week and follow up.
