I've tweeted it too, so hopefully you'll get some more signatures. I just wish it came in yellow!

Thanks!

I was thinking that yesterday! Black and yellow to get a bumblebee vibe going.

I do like a yellow car, and it would probably help convince me into one of these at some point (not that I need a new car in the slightest!)

All the special colours are near enough £1000.

You could just buy a white one and wrap it yellow?

My 370Z was yellow. I’ll never have another yellow car as long as I live. It turns out it’s pretty much impossible to exactly match yellow paint so scratch or chip repair becomes a huge ordeal involving painting entire panels and blending into the adjacent ones, with eye watering costs.

TBH this is one of the reasons I’ve decided on the plain white colour—apart from I think it looked great the demo car—that when it inevitably gets scratched it can be fixed with an £8 paint pen.

Was it metallic or flat? It's usually metallic colours which are a pain to match.

Flat. But it was a strange ‘egg yolk’ kind of yellow so maybe that made it particularly hard to match.

Some recent footage of a guy taking a prototype (I think) out on a small track.
Can't fully understand what he's saying due to youtube auto-translate being a bit iffy at times, but seems like he's having fun.
Looks and sounds like a fair bit of understeer there, don't know what mode he has it in of course and could be the driver.

I felt I could see less understeer on the normal mode lap than the sports mode map.

Geo is likely a factor too. Nice safe setup for numpties.

Ultimately it’s an all wheel drive car, they’re never totally understeer free.

Ha, I could but I won't. I like paint, not wraps. It isn't the be all and end all, but being able to choose a colour I like is still an important factor (more than something like the convenience pack, for me).

Regarding tyres, am I missing something here?

Either way, virtually every car of any interest is developed alongside a tyre manufacturer. If the tyres don't exist now, they will.

Lol hopefully he notices! Surely he will now he is tagged in it. I've got a good gut feeling about the whole outcome of this situation. Over 80 signatures in 2 days!!! Awesome outcome. Toyota will have to cave soon and give their customers what they want smile

Looks like in the US, Mazda will be putting out an AWD turbo 3, about 250bhp for $30k, interesting how it'll compare to the Yaris in any markets they're both present in.

Might be worth sharing the petition on Twitter too, some influential people there, and people who may not be able to do it through the official channels at Toyota, but might share it personally where they have a following of people interested in the brand.
I don't have a Twitter account. If anyone here does, please feel free to tweet it at Toyota. Someone a couple of pages ago put up the name of their head of UK PR, he'd probably have an account on there.

Annoyingly vague.
