Wowsers, looks a proper ugly engine under that cover. Rest of the car looks good though.moonigan said:
The lack of info from me dealer is starting to wind me up. I'm going to call them again today to press for more concrete info regarding a demo. If there are not getting a car in the next few weeks like others are then I'm going to move my order to someone who is getting one. Is anyone else in the NW that can recommend another dealer. Obvious options are:
RRG (Bolton or Salford)
HW Moon (Wigan)
Seriously go to RRG Macclesfield. I live in Stockport and would not go anywhere else. Richard McKay is your man. Just say I sent you, he will know who you mean. Fantastic service and very enthusiastic. They have a demo that was supposed to arrive last Friday. I will know as soon as it arrives. RRG (Bolton or Salford)

Just found this interesting video which includes a Dyno run. It's in Japanese so I can't tell what he is saying but the numbers are interesting because it looks like Toyota might have been a bit conservative with the claimed numbers.
It pretty much has the horsepower that it's supposed to have but it has way more torque. He measured 419 Nm / 309 ft·lb.

Had just seen that too. Even with the GPF we may see 280 I reckon.Just found this interesting video which includes a Dyno run. It's in Japanese so I can't tell what he is saying but the numbers are interesting because it looks like Toyota might have been a bit conservative with the claimed numbers.

Odd HP dip at the peak though.
I really fancy one of these but I am worried the suspension will be rock hard and you cant get a mechanical LSD without the concrete suspension (circuit pack) option. Are they all sold out or do you think there will be stock to buy following a test drive? I would hate to make another wrong decision on a car that is just too rock hard for the UK?

I reckon non circuit packs cars will be easy to pick up after a test drive, since from my understanding it seems that it's the CP cars that are the ones 'flying off the shelf'. If you wanted the circuit pack but not the suspension then you could just change the bits to the standard stuff, or get aftermarket. I believe the dampers are different, the front springs are different and the anti roll bar is different. There's information floating around on the internet which details the exact specs of the suspension parts between the CP and normal.

Perhaps but they won't have an LSD. Bit fed up of these option packs why cant we just pick and choose! Bispal said:
