£2200/£50pm. Worth it if you can't face life on the open road without front parking sensors, rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring and 'Rear Cross traffic with brake assist' (spot a theme here....?).

Oh, and heated seats, two more speakers and Waze Toyota's own Nav system.
HUD would be nice on track to use as a shift light, but never mind. LSD > toys.

My dealer just confirmed Toyota instruction that no cars are to be driven on the UK roads until 10th November.

Hi all. I have a black standard car built and left the factory, looking to change to circuit pack but don’t want to wait until March. Anyone want to swap orders if they have a circuit pack or thinking of cancelling and I cancel mine. Ideally white or black. PM me if able to help out.
Potentially. Just had Toyota UK confirm no warranty cover for track days which kind of defeats the object for me.

Agreed.

I'm now used to a digital speedo read-out having had it on various cars and bikes, so this would also be useful (unless anyone knows if the TFT panel in between the rev counter and speedo can be configured to show this?), but I'll settle for a carbon roof, alloy panels, split 4wd, bespoke chassis & engine, proper gearbox etc. etc.

BTW a friend has recently ordered a 911/992. He paid £3500 for options that are included in the 'base' Yaris GR; folding mirrors, black wheels, adaptive cruise and rear camera. He couldn't afford Porsche's carbon roof option.

Looks quick, sounds good. Seems agile, nice to see that even in track mode you can get oversteer.

What do we think of the upshift overrev??

Driver or engine mapping? I know some cars seem to rev hold on upshift for emissions. Hoping it’s just his driving style!

You sure? A buddy of mine out there is looking at them and from what he says website lists the GR and the High Performance Pack and neither mention the convenience pack features.
The German website site is for some reason really behind. Nothing has changed on there for months and still only talks about reserving one while in other regions like the UK the actual configurator is already live. The site also only lists the performance stuff. I got a paper from my dealer though that says that the car has Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 which includes the stuff I care about like adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping stuff. The rest is neat but not a necessity. My current Yaris GRMN has pretty much nothing in that regard so it's not like I would miss anything if the car comes without it.

Given the recent decision to release the convenience pack, I'd be surprised if we see that many GR Yaris grade cars being sold.

I can't imagine many people who don't want the diffs would pass up adding the Convenience Pack for the sake of what, £1200 or so?

When Toyota revealed the convenience pack add on to the non Circuit pack I changed my order from boggo spec to include the convenience pack. I'm not going to use all the added features (Toyota's nav is pants to use) but I didn't want the harder suspension of the circuit pack when I have a number of speed humps/potholes to drive over every day to work and back.

I really fancy one of these but I am worried the suspension will be rock hard and you cant get a mechanical LSD without the concrete suspension (circuit pack) option. Are they all sold out or do you think there will be stock to buy following a test drive? I would hate to make another wrong decision on a car that is just too rock hard for the UK?

The only difference is stiffer front springs. It won't be rock hard. I wouldn't worry. I've got one on order.

You can display a digital speedo in the TFT. It's what I'll do for on the road having had a few cars with digital speedos which I far prefer.

I reckon non circuit packs cars will be easy to pick up after a test drive, since from my understanding it seems that it's the CP cars that are the ones 'flying off the shelf'.
Perhaps but they won't have an LSD. Bit fed up of these option packs why cant we just pick and choose!
I think it's due to all emission regulations, I heard that they have to test every variation of a vehicle and splitting cars into 'packs' cuts the testing price down considerably. Thats what I have heard anyway, not sure if its true.
Correct, WLTP means that manufacturers aren't allowed to "estimate" i.e. gamble the emissions any more. A car has to be certified with every single combination of options I believe. Hence why a lot of options are disappearing and being amalgamated into packs instead.
Oddly they do not make them test with a driver and 1, 2 & 3 passengers, plus luggage. Which probably make more difference than a different brand of speaker.

How fat are the passengers? How heavy is the luggage? Where exactly does it go? Too many variables to test. The manufacturers can at least settle on a limited number of specs.

It’s a GR Parts item. He has the whole body kit, exhaust and carbon interior trim, dealer supply and fit.

No word yet on U.K. availability.

These parts are sold in “GR Stores” in Japan and available at point of car purchase through your Toyota dealer.

I’ve yet to track down a GR Store to contact them to ask if they can supply outside of Japan. Not tried a dealer yet.

There are a couple of PHers in Japan, maybe they'd do a group buy for someone?

I guide liked the look of the stripe til I saw the price! The dash seems reasonable. Abarth wanted £600 for a similar sized dash.
