I had my Escort Cosworth on a weigh bridge a few months ago, in full oem trim (spare, tool kit etc), but with some upgrades that would make it heavier (larger brakes/turbo/intercooler/radiator etc, totalling maybe about 20kg), + driver (88kg), + full tank of fuel (65 kg), and it was 1450kg. So minus driver, fuel, upgrades about 1277kg.forest172 said:

Well done!
I would be very interested to find out what all these cars actually weigh, on scales. The GRY is very honest, circuit pack being 1280-1290kg with a full tank.
Toyota claim 1310 for circuit pack - 1280 for regular car. That's DIn, I believe, not EU (ie 90% full tank, no driver)I would be very interested to find out what all these cars actually weigh, on scales. The GRY is very honest, circuit pack being 1280-1290kg with a full tank.

The GR Yaris Circuit Pack equips the car with lightweight forged alloy wheels with highly rigid spokes. These further reduce the car’s overall weight, by 10kg.
Standard equipment:
Dunlop Maxx 050 10.2kg
Enkei (cast) wheel 10.3kg
20.5kg
Circuit Pack:
Michelin PS4 9.75kg
BBS forged wheel 8.25kg
18.0kg
delta 2.5kg*4=10kg per car
Seems the LSD are weight neutral?
For those who are interested on the Australian YouTube channel "fullboost" their video from 24th November puts a standard pack car on the scales with full tank and no driver and it clearly shows 1280kg on the video

Kerb is always with fuel. Also gasoline is only 0,7kg/l so 65kg is a lot of fuel... Anyway, I'll put 1342kg then as the lower end.
Regarding Shmee's wrap he could also now say it's a tribute to the recently deceased Didier Auriol?:

That's probably about an accurate figure for one with a 90-100% tank of fuel. More or less the same as the Yaris, but kudos to the Yaris as it will meet the latest safety standards and has airbags etc. It therefore must be at least 150kg+ lighter than a Mk3 Focus RS and A35/45 AMG and the like.bennno said:

To be fair I got a very, very good deal on a twin turbo amg SL that came up unexpectedly hence sale.
Pity it wasn't a very, very, very good deal and you might have been able to keep both. Be a great foyle to the GRY though!
The GRY is the perfect foyle, manual, unique, small enough to pop down to the shops, and mad enough to get me out of bed on a Sunday morning for a drive....haven't done that for a while, but I'm really looking forward to it. As an early 20 something, I had a test drive of a Vauxhall 2300 HS Chevette, always regret never buying it, and the rally vibe has never ever really left me. Roll on May!

This is quite cool, a video of the build inside the factory.

That is really interesting to watch the cars come together from just the floor pan to a whole car rolling off the linehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-kfmkB8vXU

Great. More like this for the others please.
Escort Cosworth
Size of tank 55l, half 27L x 0,7kg/L = 19kg
~1325-1340kg kerb (full tank) or ~50kg more than the Yaris.
Next
Are you comparing like for like? Does the Yaris 1280kg to 1305kg kerb weight include any fuel? Is that representative of actual customer cars?Escort Cosworth
Size of tank 55l, half 27L x 0,7kg/L = 19kg
~1325-1340kg kerb (full tank) or ~50kg more than the Yaris.
