Smart looking Turbo, do you have any idea of the kerbweight? Certainly seems to get a wriggle on when on-boost cool

About 1300kg for a GT spec Turbo IIRC

There's a few reasonably priced and tidy Ferrari 355 conversions on ebay recently... get one of them and revert it back to MR2! Worth more!

I don't actually mind the Ferrari kit on it's own but when they get covered in Ferrari badges it's just a bit sad

Did finally pull my finger out and got a trackday booked in december. First one in ages, went great until the old external oil cooler cracked. Luckily I didn't lose that much oil, but getting it recovered to Rogue was definitely a pain.

It's all sorted with a brand new mocal cooler in place and a bit of vibration damping. The cooler came with the engine that I used for the forged build and was pretty damn old, but I never expected it to crack like it did.

I did take it out for a quick drive before the mot expired, but now I'm probably going to have to leave it until my house move is completed. But at least I'll be able to use it more especially when I have a drive.

Either that or I just buy a GT86

Edit: On the subject of Ferrari conversions, there is no saving them I've seen what some of them look like behind the fake body work and it would be probably cheaper to just buy a nice MR2 instead of trying to remove all the tat thats been attached to them.

I saw one that fooled me from 10 foot away, but then you looked into the engine bay and you had un removable rear lights that had been fiberglassed in. Constant water ingress issues and so many other janky things that would make me run a mile.

This just popped up on Facebook, quite close to me.

Feels like a decent price, subject to it being as good in real life as it looks.

Full years MOT and looks original.

I'd one identical to this years ago.

Whilst it doesnt scream "cheap car" at me, i think thats reasonably priced.

Just have a good look round it. I know nothing about the car…but it was for sale a fair bit cheaper during covid. To be fair everything was cheaper then.

Yeah a friend of mine is interested in it.

He knows his MR2s well.

It has a fresh MOT on it, so likely has had money spent.

As you say, all cars have went up in price during covid.

Some questions spring to mind.

Why is the 'mileage' in KMs?

Why does it claim to have a 1.0 engine?

Looks OK, though.

Just noticed it's in Northern Ireland. Do they use KM? Wouldn't have thought so.

Facebook Marketplace tends to revert to useless metrics.

Exactly it. Marketplace seems to default to kms and the engine size has been wrongly picked up by their system.

We dont.

But FB Marketplace seems to default to that.

There were some nice touches on the Anniversary Edition - the wood rimmed steering wheel, full leather, T Bar, the grey alloys and i think that blue is limited to the Anniversary too. I dont think the standard blue was quite that shade. They also did silver in it.

That's a lovely looking example, I'm very tempted to sell my Saab 95 Aero estate and give a MK3 project a go, I'd love another MK2 Turbo but the kind of car I'd want and the budget I have in mind are miles apart smile
