I recently traded my 21 CP Red 5k for £34k ....
Did you part ex it?
Yes, for a discounted M3 F80 CS ... cost to change was £25k from a main dealer, so including big service and a year of BMW warranty .. the car was the only one with carbon composite brakes, which is what I wanted.

Okay but that doesn't mean your Yaris sold for £34k. It only sold for £34k if you didn't buy another car 😉

Well it appears that there was little or no profit in the Bimmer ... and I was told that they allowed the sum underwritten by a trader for the GR Yaris ...

But you are correct that I cannot know for sure that they weren't subsidising the trade-in.

Are dealers not to be believed ?

Absolutely. Not sure why some of the above responses don't understand that.

If you were not buying another car would that trader have bought yours for £34k.?

He would if there was a firm underwrite on the car.

Genuinely confused by the above statement.

Who said it "sold" for £34k?

If the new car was x and the buyer made up the difference from 34k to the x then 34k was the deal done on the Yaris. Of, course the dealer could have had some margin in the car and willing to drop 2k so the Yaris was done at 32 but from the sellers point of view, if happy to pay sticker price, then they sold their car for 34k. It doesn’t really matter how the dealer cuts it. The seller achieved 34k in their understanding of the deal.

I suspect the invoice / paperwork actually details the Yaris at 34k?

Anyone else got a recall letter related to the collision sensor? I got mine although mine is working so can’t see it being to big a deal.

Not personally although when I heard about it a few weeks ago I checked the DVLA site which says I’m due a recall.

It will work until it doesn’t, might as well get it done.

The paperwork actually shows £60k for the M3 CS with a part-ex of £35k .... I don't think they wanted to show a loss on the BMW after the big service and the warranty cost ...

What's the official line with these - are they building any more?

No more news. I suspect not. Those who ordered last July when the book closed are due their cars in October.

As far as I am aware Toyota still haven't made an announcement confirming a 2023 run yet.

Just an update from a Toyota dealer perspective.

Most of the GR’s that went from a May ‘22 to October ‘22 delivery have had their ETA’s coming forward again.

I’ve had 2 batches move forward over the past month or so, now showing June-July-August.

(note not all have come forward yet, so if you’re sales exec hasn’t been in touch, then yours may not be one of them)

The GR Yaris was not mentioned at this week’s national dealer conference, which would imply we will not see any more in 2023.

Mine still showing Oct 22, ordered in July 21. At the time I ordered they were showing four remaining ordering slots for the uk.
I would prefer it to come at the end of the run, but we’ll see.
