New to this particular sub but having come from a 355 GTS, Alfa Romeo 4C amd integrale Evo 2 to the Yaris GR, I can o ly say wow, it's the best car I've ever owned, I absolutely love it. Its had a bit of work done by the previous owner - thank you - and I reckon it makes it look sooo good.

Looking forward to taking it to Le Mans next month for our first 24 Hrs race for 3 years

So had an email from WBAC saying a price increase on GRY. Just checked and with 1,000miles added since last valuation I got £2k more than what I was offered in April.

I’m not looking to sell but for those wondering about depreciation my car is coming up to 18 months old with over 13,000 miles on the clock and they’re offering £30,260.

Obviously that’s not the price they will potentially pay but it’s a good guide.
They will of course be intending to sell on at a not insubstantial profit. I'm with the free marketeers. Any car is worth what someone's willing to pay for it at that moment in time. The Yaris is a very desirable car and if you want a new or very low mileage car better buy it now. They won't be £25K cars in a year.

So we’ve seen one price rise but I suspect if we were to see more cars (which I’m doubtful) I think we could bes seeing a large price increase.

I’m not a subscriber to the FT but I guess the title probably says it all! That £33,500 list price is looking like more of a bargain each day. Hopefully only 6 weeks or so until mine arrives!

Sounds like yours might be on the same boat as mine then, I'm expecting a restraining order from the captain of the Virgo Leader that I've been following a little too closely the past few days, expecting it to leave port with my car in the next couple of days.

I’ve no idea actually as to what boat it’s on but I was told early July, so fingers crossed! I will keep any eye on Virgo Leader just in case. Hopefully built before the week long factory shut down next week anyway.

Is there a particular reason prices for these on the likes of 'We buy any car' are going up? Since the beginning of May mine has jumped from £30k ish up to over £33k? I thought prices were slowly descending..

£3000 in two weeks is a pretty big fluctuation! With everyone saying the market is sinking slowly I wouldn't expect to see those figures.

I expect the manufacturer or people in the food chain have been swallowing price fluctuations but now with Massive cost changes such as fuel for the boats they have just realigned the price whee it needs to be plus they have sold the quantities they set out to do and the price being held was good will.

I recieved the same call late last week! Although they did say that was just the latest information and it may change to either August or October as things are a little hard to predict at the moment.

I didnt check but hopefully they are still offering the 0% finance, i did go through with the application but the dealer said that they do change quarterly and while likely they dont guarantee it.

You can't order one anymore, no word on whether you will be able to at all, seems like if they do make any more available it won't be until 2024.

I’m not sure they will make more given the Corolla will be built at the same plant.

They have removed the ‘wait list’ but yet you can still spec and save one. I’ve asked Toyota UK why but I haven’t had an answer

As above the expression of interest list was open for around 9-10months before being removed from the Toyota site, dealers had their annual brief (or similar) last month which outlines the year and the GR Yaris wasn’t even mentioned.

I suspect with a limited run of japan only GRMN’s due to be made on he line around September that will bring an end to production as they will have hit the 25,000 they originally planned to build (half being the shopping japan only auto version). They alluded to the potential to increase that number but I suspect the last 2 years will have completely changed any suggestion of that. Why spend 10 days building a car when you can sell a standard yaris that takes 1 day to produce for the same price.

Recall letter arrived yesterday, not too concerned as I’ve had the system kick in a couple of times to warn me so will find a time over the next few months where I actually have the morning to go get it done.
Mine is in for a service today, they said the recall will be a check and if it needs further attention this may be later on - since I had a new windscreen the lane keeping has seemed slightly off - despite autoglass supposedly checking it - I rarely use it so not too bothered, but interested to see if they pick up anything.

Yes I think the production run is done now. Mine now arrives in September and will likely be one of the last made.

Is there any way to see on the car how far into the 25,000 run your GRY is? Via VIN or some other serial number?
