Toyota GR Yaris - Official! (Vol 2)

Can any owner share information how long do the steps "processing order" > "build in progress" > "left the factory" > "in transit" take overall?
I'm in mainland EU and my ordered GR Yaris should arrive in April. However, the MyT app still shows "processing order". Was wondering if the car ought to already be in the "build in progress" step by now.
(I'm also aware that I might get f_cked over with the "should arrive in April" stuff, but still.)
I live in Poland and it took 5.5 months from order to pick up, but order placement was over 2 years ago, it seems lead times are much longer now. Hassle your dealer for an update, they can probably check more than what's in the MyT app.I'm in mainland EU and my ordered GR Yaris should arrive in April. Thanks all. The dealer now informs me that delivery in April is not happening. (This would've meant a year waiting overall.) The next estimate is this September-October. Meaning, overall a year and a half since placing the order. Cocksickles.
Ouch! I had assumed that production would be wrapping up soon to make capacity for the GR Corolla, if they are instead just reducing capacity for the Yaris then we could be in for a long long wait. I ordered in July 2021 and have so far had deliveries expected in September, October, November, January, March and now May. Although I'll probably ring up in April to be told it's now later in the year.
Can't be annoyed with the dealer as it's not as if they have any control over it, at least I still have the lower list price and 0% finance.
Been abroad for a month, and left the car on the drive.
Positives: Fired right up, no dramas - as did the Boxster. This is in contrast to some folks who say their cars run out of juice after a couple of weeks if not trickle charged.
Negatives: Next door's cats have made a mess of the roof
The vinyl seems to mark really easy, already had some marks on it. The cats tend to ignore it when parked on the road.
I received a communications module reprogramming recall in the post today. Has anyone else had this?
May save this until it's due a service in August. Anything else worth doing at the same time? Thinking of turning off the fake engine noise and enabling window operation from the fob.

I believe those that had issues were running dash cams / aftermarket alarms. Positives: Fired right up, no dramas - as did the Boxster. This is in contrast to some folks who say their cars run out of juice after a couple of weeks if not trickle charged.

CC's just sold circuit pack 5k miles at 28,800 plus fees .
I missed it by a minute !
There’s a Litchfield modified one at the same price on there at the moment. With fees think that was about £32k so buyer didn’t get a deal but the seller did lose money compared to selling by other means like WBAC. I missed it by a minute !

Wonder is the seller of the Litchfield car had the full blown 8k upgrades . If so then yes that’s a big hit

Even with CC fees that still looks to be about £3k/£4k under anything else on the market right now - given the mileage, colour and 1 owner car, looks a great buy at that price. GT3Manthey said:

The advert for the white one on CC says that £52k has been spent on that car inclusive of Litchfield upgrades so that would suggest it's had the full works! Still 3 days to run on the auction though. There was another Litchfield car for sale recently but looks like it's gone, I think it was about £37k from memory and had circa 8k miles, black car. Not sure the exact Litchfield mods though If so then yes that’s a big hit

Think the group opinion on the Facebook group was it was his driving that was at fault. Anyone gets bored it’s on the UK owners FB.
I thought this might be useful for anyone still waiting for delivery:
Between 25 May 2021 and 24 June 2021 the VIN numbers had jumped 1,378 places, between 20 Jan 2023 and 20 Feb 2023 the VIN numbers moved 32 places! To check if this was an anomaly I then did 20 October 2022 to 20 February 2022 (a period of 4 months with Christmas / new year) and 1097 VINS /vehicles were produced / delivered or 274pm. Obviously there’s a 6-8 week disconnect between manufacturing and delivering but it reaffirms that -production has slowed down considerably.
At that current rate and taking the highest known VIN of 22456 then that’s 9 months of production left (take off 2 months for factory to dealership) so September 2023 looks to be last deliveries.

Generally speaking I think modifications reduce your market considerably. A bit like optional extras, they rarely add value. It will be interesting to see what the Litchfield car gets but if I wanted a modified car I think I'd want to choose the mods myself.
I agree with this and we see it lots. The vast majority just want the standard car and not something that's become so extreme it detracts from its ever day usability

If you're buying second hand it's a total lottery, not matter what the ad says.
I did end up going to Sweden, I don't think I can post videos, but here's my car on the ferry on the way to Sweden, and a shot of the first frozen lake we found by chance, which was actually a recognised winter road, hence the arrow designating which side to drive on, which we ignored as the road was 100 meters wide and there was no other traffic

The Lichfield tuned car has sold for £36k plus fees.

Good way for the seller to lose £14k! Although I noticed in the comments he said never tracked and yet on the owners group he was complaining about how his car handled on track including photo of it at a circuit…..

I guess you're never going to get back the full cost of any mods, but still, seems like a big hit to take if that person has spent over £52k in total.
Makes the Black one that sold last week seem even more of a bargain.
Also, poor form on the seller if he has said it's never been tracked and that is a blatant lie... not cool
