It's a wrap though. It only gives you the appearance. Im a big fan of its look but unfortunately it's not available for LHD cars yet.
He’s on about the carbon look trim for the dashboard.

All the videos etc I am seeing, the cars seem to exhibit quite bad rev hang between gears. Am I seeing/hearing something that isn't there or is this a thing? I have had similar in cars before and this could be a dealbreaker for me if so.
Is it not the imt doing it’s thing? Have you got a video you have watched that you can share?
Even the video above with a yaris chasing the M2. I am talking when moving up gears rather than down. When he is moving up the gears the revs really seem to hang.

I haven't driven one so this isn't first hand...

But I saw in a video it's really bad on this engine. Most modern manual cars have the issue it's an emissions thing... Not sure if it can be mapped out

This car is very quick through the corners.

You can tell that from that video? I couldn’t see the speedo?

Well he catches up with the 911 and in another video an M2. Okay, their not pro drivers, but still, a small car keeping up with those machines is something..

Sabine was doing that in a Transit.

Is there a roof rack option instead?
No roof rails and the roof is a vinyl wrap so can’t use a sucker.

He’s peeling the roof wrap off so he can get his seasucker bike rack to work!

There’s not a chance in hell I’d risk damaging my car, and more importantly, destroying my bike relying on suction. It’ll work absolutely fine, until the day it doesn’t.

yup, overtaking serious machinery doesn’t tell you much, except that some people are happy driving slowly.

Interesting! Yeah I looked at a sea sucker option but worry about it coming off if driven like a Yaris GR should be! Also stones and mud etc dragged all overreact not idea! Also rather put it in side!

This could be a cancellation for me. I need to drive one. Would hope with the amount of owbers here someone would give a 1st hand account of it.

It's a trait that would annoy me too much to live with.

I’ve done over 2,000 miles and not noticed any hanging. If it did do it as a trait I’m sure every review would have picked up on that plus the many owners would be mentioning it. There are some posts on GT-R on YouTube about revhang but everyone concluded he’s flat-shifting.

Give it a few months and someone like HKS may have a box you can plug in to change that.

I haven't noticed any rev hang as such but I've not really driven it much in the style in which it'd be noticeable...

The auto rev matching does suffer from rev hang - to the point I wouldn't use it. With it off I didn't find it a problem - the gearchange, though delightfully precise and mechanical isn't the slickest in the world.

Get it cancelled and give someone who wants a car early a chance, it’s taken 505 pages of this thread to come up with this negative issue....typical PH.

I never get the “typical PH” comment. You go on any forum, Facebook and in life and you’ll have similar style posts/comments.

Carbon fibre always seems silly to me when added on top of something else…adding a weight saving material on top of the original part.
I'm not sure it this trim sticks on top of the existing panels (which would be odd) or is replacement pieces and the standard trim is removed.

Its hard to tell from the info.

Early chance? They would be waiting until May next year.

It's something I have noticed the more videos I see of it, 500 pages ago there were very few videos of actual people using the car on track.

Typical PH ? You mean not being allowed to have a view on things that are anything but utterly positive? I will make my decision once I have driven one thanks.

It's what they call an applique. It sticks on over the top. In motorcycling circles it used to be called Italian Chrome as people with Ducatis loved to adorn their bikes with what was essentially cosmetic carbon fibre. On that GR dashboard I'd rather have just the padded type stuff which is on the top of the dashboard, or maybe suede-look upholstery (Alcantara or whatever). Not that the standard thing offends me anywhere near enough to actually want to change it!

I got my ODB2 dongle (the Carista one actually) and the Carista app today and disabled both of the sound settings - the noise giveth and the noise taketh-away. Having the sound enhancement makes the car a pleasant drive and if you give it a boot-full you still do hear intake and exhaust noise and that little wastegate fluttering away. So I'm going to keep it turned off for a while. The noise cancelling now has that booming (too low frequency to call it a drone I think) which occurs between 1500 and 2000rpm. I didn't notice any other change in vehicle noises. I'll also keep that off until I get sick of it.

I also changed the indicator nudge flash from three flashes to five, but I'll change it to seven to make it suit how I lane-change on the freeway. There's a few other config settings in there but they don't have the "magic window" function in there - which is where you can use the remote to lower and raise the windows.
