We’re now at 3.5 years since release so I doubt there will be an influx in cars appearing. I suspect it will stay around 200 cars for sale which seems to have been since day 1.
They were under 100 at one point.

The good news is that when current owners 0% deals finish there will be lots more MK1 cars available, if those owners couldn't afford the old car outright then they have no chance of doing it for the MK2.

Toyota have shot themselves in the foot a bit with this, personally I won't be putting another £20-£25k in as well as my car for a new one, if I get offered a car I'd gladly help out someone who want's a MK2.
The 0% deal as 2 years, so most of those are up now as the vast majority of cars were delivered by March 2022. The 1.9% deal was 3.5 years so maybe a few of those left, but I don’t think you’re going to see any vast influx now.

No idea how many owners could afford to buy outright, but you’d be a bit silly to turn down the offer of 0% whether you could afford to buy outright or not. Finance rate is likely to be around 8 or 9% this time, so likely to be far less takers for the finance.

It's being reported on the GR Zoo forum that the expression of interest page is open for the Special Editions in Switzerland. However they say you are only eligible if you already have an order for the 2024 car!?

That would be crazy if true, especially if other countries have similar restrictions.

Toyota have really taken the idea that these will be bought by collectors seriously.

1 or 2 per country.

Will they do anything to stop them being flipped? (Though is there much upside on the table when it's £60k to start with)

Dutch prices are really out of this world (due to tax on CO2 emissions)

GR Yaris Performance MT – 81.795 euro
GR Yaris Premium MT – 85.795 euro
GR Yaris Performance automatic – 94.295 euro
GR Yaris Premium automatic – 98.295 euro

I'll keep my current GRY, or maybe returning to BMW

Of course only a collector will buy the super expensive limited edition variant.

Quite a change in the numbers for sale over the last 3 weeks. There are now just over 150 on Autotrader, down from around 200 just 3 weeks ago.

Let’s see what happens when the order process becomes clear and eventually (possibly) opens next month.

My little red GR is up on PH sale section - its sadly going and has been great fun car. One of the most exciting I would say having had a variety of high performance cars.

Is the GR just surplus?

After many years of owning a variety of high performance cars I still find the GR to be the sweet spot for UK roads. The main reason I sold my last few performance cars was because they were just too fast for UK roads nowadays. Even though my GR isn’t getting used much due to having other cars, it’s staying as I can’t think of anything more fun that I would replace it with. And compared to more expensive performance cars, depreciation on the GR is minimal as are running costs.

I've started back doing longer distances and will be touring with the wife Europe and it's not suitable for a euro tour and the wife! So got a RS6 again. Had a 911 targa and did a scandi tour for 3 weeks last year with daughter but the RS6 is supremely comfy even over the 911. So hence the gr won't get much use this year.

Anyone gonna add their name into the hat for a limited edition one then? Far too risky a gamble for me, but might well pay off for someone.

Of course. Flip in advance or bail. No brainer.

Or help out someone who missed out and would like the MK2 car.
