In truth no way I’d sell anytime soon, suspect with the volumes here they’d probably be pretty good on depreciation with low miles even after 5 years.
Based on looking at my crystal ball whilst wearing my rose tinted glasses!
I don't think that's a rose tinted glasses outlook! Cars like the GR86 have been few and far between for a while and are now very much a dying breed with the end of ICE vehicles in sight; therefore, I think low mileage, well maintained, examples will be highly sought after and residuals will reflect that.Based on looking at my crystal ball whilst wearing my rose tinted glasses!
So anyone who has an option to get one of the newly released allocation should take it IMO; a great drivers car that, relatively speaking, will probably cost peanuts to own!

Not sure if it's a very PH question (although some may think it a very PH question), but why are the WBAC quotes for a GR Yaris and GR86 so different? I've runs couple of each and the GR86 is returning 24-25k and the GR Yaris is coming up at 33.5k?
Is it an artificial skew as so few GR86s have been sold through WBAC?
In an ideal world it wouldn't be part of any decision making but I'd have to buy the 86 cash while I still have the 0% locked in for the Yaris and don't fancy taking a 10k loss if I need to sell the GR86.
As you say, they've probably had very few GR86's through to enable them to arrive at a sensible valuation. In actual fact, given the apparent demand - and the advertised second-hand prices - I'd be surprised if any owner has used WBAC to sell their GR86; if they want a sale with minimal hassle they could probably just sell it back to the dealer they bought it from for what they paid for it!Is it an artificial skew as so few GR86s have been sold through WBAC?

Anyone lucky enough to get an allocation but who is not wanting it please get in touch.
The only way to do that would be as the second owner. The system is setup that only the person on the list can purchase. And morally for those who have had an offer but don’t want a car just say no and let the next person in line have it.

I’d be fine with that (2nd owner). And morally for those who have had an offer but don’t want a car just say no and let the next person in line have it.
Personally if I had the opportunity to give someone on this forum a car that they’d missed out on, over some next-in-line rando, I’d rather that. YMMV.

Sorry if this is already in this thread somewhere, but I've searched and can't find it! I like the ducktail spoiler that comes on the car in other markets... how do I get one? Presume it's a case of part number, order from dealer (hopefully painted!), 3M tape it on myself?
Dealer can order it for you in any colour you want. They can fit it for you as well, prices seem to vary quite a bit between dealers. You could also order it from somewhere like Fensport if you plan on fitting it yourself.Standard fitting includes drilling into the boot lid but the bolts are held on to the spoiler by 3M so quite a few people take off the bolts and just use 3M. Lots of videos on YouTube to help make your mind up.

We've done 4 so far (Toyota dealer) they are £475 inc fitting and VAT. We bond and bolt them on, They are still coming in colour coded, but I did read something a while back that implied that might not always be the case.
Dealers might have different labor rates and might charge more if it's not part of the initial PDI.

A few days before delivery, when TOR know when it's going to be delivered. They give you their bank details so you can do it online.
Which some people have had instant dispatch notifications (I suspect cancelled orders). so if you are thinking you need toMove money around it could be quicker than you think!
Well we'll well. Having missed out on my first attempt to buy the GR86 due to Toyota's unusual method of selling direct to internet orders and missing out their dealership network I have had My reservation offer as I left my name on the wait list!
The offer came right out of the blue and I had given up any hope of having the GR86.
Well I've put down the £1000 and ordered my car yesterday - manual in Magnetite Grey metallic. Nominated my local dealer and went in to see them yesterday and they are dead chuffed I've been successful this time. They are still kept out of the loop and will just be used for handover and PDI.
Unfortunately /fortunately? in the meantime with the disappointment of missing out I had placed a deposit and ordered another car six months ago and am still waiting on delivery on that which may be up to another six months away!
So bit of a dilemma there.
Could see the GR86 arriving before other car which leaves me with too many cars.
Both turning up together would leave me with more than a bit of a problem and other half is non too pleased! :
