Alpine A110 owners
Discussion
Felt that the Gr was neither as engaging (by some margin) or as refined as the A110. The security it provides in slippery conditions is of marginal advantage where I live and holiday. Likewise the extra practicality isn't of great value to me. Change where I live or where the extra seats are of use and the GR would have much more appeal to me. Hugely capable though and if the A110 wasn't around I might well have been tempted.
Looks are well down my priority list - but I do think they are on the margins of good taste.

Whilst not elegant like the A110 I think the Yaris looks good, there's a red one on black wheels near me and I'm surprised how much I like it.Looks are well down my priority list - but I do think they are on the margins of good taste.

Hi all, long term lurker here and aspiring A110 owner! Just test driven a Pure and now looking to bite the bullet (the wife is inside!).
I have a preference for the Pure seats, however once specked up I could spent a little bit more for a Legende GT the dealer could arrange...
Do people think the LGT, as a limited edition, is worth the extra?

Personally not keen on leather seats, so I wouldn't - but the Pure seats suit me and the OH very well, hold you better and are a bit softer on your nether regions. I've driven a good distance in a Legende too. Others prefer the greater adjustability of the Legende seats. Whether the aesthetics of the GT appeal is very much a matter of personal taste. The other point is that the storage boxes that are (imo) the best solution to the lack of oddment space, don't fit between the seats and door on the Legende.I have a preference for the Pure seats, however once specked up I could spent a little bit more for a Legende GT the dealer could arrange...

Whether the Legende GT will hold it's value better remains to be seen - PEs don't seem to have (but were cheaper in the first place than a Pure to the same spec).
The LGT sure looks really good. I prefer the sporty and lightweight approach of the Pure though. Seems to fit the philosophy of the car more imo. But it really depends on what you are looking for. The LGT is like a baby Aston Martin to me in the design language, whereas I wanted more of a « refined Lotus » so went for the Pure.
The LGT isn’t a bad choice on a pure monetary basis though, the additional cost compared to an equivalently specced Legende is quite slim. And then you have the unique paint, the exclusive pale gold bits, the rarity of a limited edition, the superior leather inside...
About the seats, both myself and my wife love the Pure ones, comfy and supportive but maybe not ideal for the generous body types. I didn’t get to try the Legende ones but they’re known to be less supportive in corners at speed and not especially more comfy. They do are more comfortable for more various body types though.

Thanks for all the comments. The LGT is in Abyss so does look good with the pale gold wheels and tan seats. I keep getting pulled back to the Pure though and hadn’t thought of the above point re. storage. Back to the configurator!
Seats is completely personal, I went to the dealer and jumped from one car to the other literally dozens of times to decide. I preferred the fine tuning I could make to adjustment in the comfort seats, particularly the back. Also they are a bit easier if you have two people of different heights driving the car... they are more slippy and bit less supportive than the buckets though.

There’s a gorgeous yellow A110S at Alpine Manchester. It looks so good in yellow, just not sure I can justify the price!
Agree. I've driven past it for months so it'd be very cool to own that particular one, but it's bloody expensive. Especially considering there is a year old car with 1500 miles for almost 10k less.Simon Owen said:

The Légende seats also go a little bit lower then the fixed buckets (in their lowest position), but this could also be because you can tilt the back of the Légende seats. Seats are indeed totally personal, for our car the Légende seats was a absolute must. It's my girlfriend her daily driver and I use it only for fun. She sits on the highest position and I sit on the lowest position Talking about having fun with the A110; went to another drift session with the A110 today

Exige V6 Sport 350
Good car - I had one for a bit, and think they are in the sweet spot for a road car, better than the 430 cup for that. Think that was first Exige with exposed gear change, which was a big step up. Mine had a nice yellow tartan interior to go with it...
