I am trying to figure out some storage solutions. I bought some velcro cargo nets off Amazon to go behind the seats but they won't hold. After trying to read the translated french Alpine forums, apparently they have recently changed the carpets in the cars and so velcro no longer attaches, I thought this was just in the S, but seemingly doesn't work in my pure either. Anyone else come across this with a newer car and got any suggestions for decent alternatives or solutions? I am guessing this will also mean the official leather pouches to go down the sides of the seats no longer work?!
See my previous post https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... Obviously the Velcro options no longer work, which is a bit of a bummer. If you can't get the storage boxes to stick between the door and seat that REALLY is a big bummer - you certainly need something to stop them sliding forward, and they use velcro.I have also used a black seed box or two behind the seats - I don't feel the need now, and it's only possible if you or your OH are short.
I was reluctant to screw a cargo net to where the glove box isn't and couldn't get a velcro solution to stick. But given the reduced options you have I would be tempted to use screws.

Thanks, just had a look over your previous post, I took inspiration from this originally and bought a couple of the cargo nets as these would have been perfect for my needs if they would stick, was then just gonna get one "official" storage pouch for my side. I might have to think about some sort of box for behind the passenger seat, all I need is space for masks (hopefully only temporary), cables for phone, sun glasses and ideally space for water/drinks for longer journeys. I guess if I have any tall passengers, I could always just remove it and put it in on of the boots.I have also used a black seed box or two behind the seats - I don't feel the need now, and it's only possible if you or your OH are short.

Why wouldn’t you take it to Winchester though for warranty work? You don’t have to have bought the car from them
I would have but there was some issues with the paint that needed rectifying. They ended up making a right mess of the car so trying to get it booked back in. It was 16:00 on a Friday in London and had to get back to Reading so didn't really have a good look at the workmanship. The day after I had a better look around, fish eyes in clear coat, dust contaminants and overspray. Then noticed something hanging underneath. Sums up the work!
Now being told have to wait a month to rebook.

Given that mine needs some paint work at London West, that's more than a little worrying. Anyone else had paintwork issues at London West (they farm it out). Anyone have good paintwork experiences at other Alpine dealers?Sums up the work!

Fair enough. What has happened to result in a warranty paint repair?
Not sure - this is what it looks like at the point the panels join aft of the rear wheel.Depending on the light it's quite difficult to spot. They spotted it, not me, and requested a warranty repair from Alpine unprompted - which I thought was impressive. Subsequent events have been less impressive.

Hmm, something's bubbling under there. Glad it's being covered.Depending on the light it's quite difficult to spot. They spotted it, not me, and requested a warranty repair from Alpine unprompted - which I thought was impressive. Subsequent events have been less impressive.
Hi, bought a black PE at the end of the year never having seen, sat in or driven an A110 and I wasn't disappointed.
Came from a K series R300 and don't think Alpine is much slower to 60 if at all
Only problem has been SD card use. MP3s play via USB pen drive or Bluetooth, but initially wouldn't read now plays 15 to 30 secs and display resets to Alps graphic
Anybody help please? Thanks

Not sure that this is relevant ... The SD card has to be write-enabled for the SD card to be recognised. HOWEVER I have had one card made read only as part of a Alpine software upgrade. By that I mean that while the card reads perfectly fine, it is effectively read only whatever the slide switch may say. Bizarre as this may sound that is certainly what happened when the infotainment was upgraded on my car. Oddly, I am told that any SD cards should be left in situe when the technician upgrades the software - I won't be allowing that to happen again....Came from a K series R300 and don't think Alpine is much slower to 60 if at all

Thanks, I'll have yet another go and see if I can get the system to work as expected
I tried the SD card from wife's car (which works fine in her stereo) and got the same message - something along the lines of couldn't read it did not contain media, which was what I was getting from the new card that I was trying to use (new SanDisk 128Gb card)
After multiple attempts I tried contacting Alpine Customer Service who simply replied "contact local dealer"!
I tried formatting the card in Windows and also formatted via Android. Finally after an Android format the card was read by the system and I thought I'd cracked it, all artists, albums and tracks were shown on the display
But as the time started playing it seemed to crash and reset the infotainment system. Tried a few different tracks and all had the same effect
The MP3 files are the same on the USB, phone and SD card
Is there a limit to the capacity of card the system will read?
What does the card need to be formatted to?
Can a micro SD and adapter be used or does it have to be a full size card?
Thanks again for any useful info or advice

I can't be much further help. Not used an adapter so can't be sure - but never had any issues on other devices. Full size SD cards seem to becoming the exception rather than the norm. I use FAT32, Capacity? Not aware of any limit but not used anything as large as 128GB. I have to conclude that you have a bug that only the dealer can fix. What does the card need to be formatted to?

Thanks for the info, it's what I was looking to confirm, just in case the Alpine didn't like the format or the use of a micro card etc.
The card is a new top speed SanDisk 128gb that came with the adapter from SanDisk, formatted the same (multiple times)
Regarding being write enabled, I have checked and not only is it enabled at some point while it has been in the Alpine system has written a file to it from mySPIN
When I get the chance I'll call over to the Alone Manchester
Thanks again
