Are there any good dealers out there? I’m considering new vs s/hand and am used to travelling a long way for servicing, so it’d be handy to know if they are all as bad as above mentioned or not. Thanks.
I’ve not had issues with Martins Winchester Alpine, although I might be the exception!Alpine Legende GT said:

My car has now been diagnosed as the fuel pump, after they managed to replicate the fault.
No parts available.
You have my sympathy. Might be worthwhile contacting Seb Brechon at alpine cars - within two days of me contacting him the parts for my car turned up so I was only without a car for a month. No parts available.
Next day a further 8hrs wait at home for Renault's Assist via RAC to recover it to Orpington Alpine.
They only looked at it on Friday last week, confirmed the fuel pump issue but as the part has now been superceded they didn't yet even have the new part number to get a replacement ordered!
Its now Tuesday, its been off the road for 8 days, I have been told they are ordering a new fuel pump but they think its on back order 5-10 working days is current guess. Every excuse used for delay, Covid, Brexit, Ukraine etc
Could you please send me Seb's contact details or some way of reaching him please as the dealer just doesn't have a clue and any help Seb could provide would be much appreciated?

Not wanting to put a downer on anyone waiting for parts, but just some information to help with possible timelines.
If parts is available in UK, should e able to get in day or 2
If not in UK but available France , back order part, this can officially be up to 28 days. Usually 5-10, but can be 28days.
If not available France , Not in stock, in can be anyones guess, but 3-9 months potentially.
This is not just with Alpine, but most manufactures.
(Please note I am defending or trying to just justify the situation, but just giving time scales to help with peoples expectations)
If anyone has a part query they can pm and I could find out some info if they wish.
Might take you up on your offer, my car’s been off the road since early June waiting on 3 parts If parts is available in UK, should e able to get in day or 2

Latest update is the wing and rear quarter panel are on back order until the end of the month and the head light unit until 30th November. To say I’m a little frustrated is an understatement - I might have expected this sort of thing from Lotus but not Alpine. Anyway I’ve contacted Seb again and asked for his assistance so we’ll what happens.
In terms of hire car, the Insurance company supplied a Corsa SRI which to fair fair has been ok, but it’s no Alpine!

How can they be on (extended) back order when they are building new cars with, as far as I am aware, exactly the same parts?leglessAlex said:

This thread really isn't filling me with confidence for the my new car!
Oh don't let that get you down - there are a few hundred posts prior to that about how amazing the car is to own and drive. Before long you'll be writing some yourself, and with any luck you'll never need to chip in on the issues some (but by no means all) of us have faced.joedavy89 said:
Hi all,
I've been looking at getting an A110 for a while to use as a non-family daily driver - have test driven a GT and loved it (I did spec up a standard A110 online but by the time I added everything I wanted, I'm thinking it's worth paying the difference to just get the GT).
I did have a few questions about the buying process and the car which hopefully you guys can help with:
1. Has anyone unwrapped the car themselves from all the protective transport film? This would be my first brand new car so would be interested in doing this (and making sure there's no washing / prep done on the paintwork)
2. Can you get a child seat comfortably in the car (I know they can't go in the fixed Sabelts)?
3. What have people managed to get thrown in with the car. The dealer I was speaking to mentioned one of the Alpine track days and £500 worth of Alpine merchandise.
4. I'm currently debating between a new in-stock car or brand new order - any ideas if the fuel pump issues are sorted / when they were sorted?
Thanks!
1. No I let Winchester do it and it was fine but I understand your desire to do it.I've been looking at getting an A110 for a while to use as a non-family daily driver - have test driven a GT and loved it (I did spec up a standard A110 online but by the time I added everything I wanted, I'm thinking it's worth paying the difference to just get the GT).

2. Not tried sorry
3. No discount from new in 2020 but I did get a free Alpine experience at Thruxton which was great fun and confidence building (helps when you’re using someone else’s car!)
4. Don’t know I’m afraid but mine is a 2020MY and has been fine.
Happy hunting

Finally got my car back -7weeks wait for a fuel pump and even then only after escalation!
Picked it up in the evening when dark but realised next day they hadn't even washed it after a 7week delay!
Who did you escalate to if you don’t mind me asking? Mine’s been off the road since June and I’ve tried Seb Brechon but he’s not answering my emails Picked it up in the evening when dark but realised next day they hadn't even washed it after a 7week delay!

Had a run out to Thruxton this morning for the Pistonheads Sunday Service. Nice to see three A110’s there, one in Alpine Blue, one in Abyss and one in (Blood?) Orange.
Mine was the abyss blue (under the grime) Legende GT. Not great in the snow as it turns out, we had a few inches by the time I got back to cirencester!breakfan said:
Could someone PM me the email of the head of Alpine UK? Seem to remember his name was floated around a few pages back. My car has effectively been off the road for months waiting on a part, getting ridiculous now.
Hi it’s seb.brechon@alpinecars.com, however I didn’t get much joy from him so I’m now corresponding with bonnie.bidgood@renault.co.uk who has been very helpful, albeit I still don’t have my car back yet, 7 months to the day and counting…….AlexNJ89 said:

I need to stop reading these posts.....it doesn't do me any good at all when trying to convince myself to buy an A110.
It doesn't do me any good owning one either!Well after 9 months I finally had a message today to say that my car has started to be repaired and that it is scheduled for completion and ready for collection on the 20th March (not holding my breath though!!). This date coincidentally happens to be it’s 3rd anniversary so I will have to arrange MOT, service and extended warranty pronto.
In total it will have been 9.5 months from the date of the accident, 8 of which were waiting for Alpine to supply the relevant parts
Got my fingers crossed as I can’t wait to get back in it and

Did you ever get an answer as to why it took 8 months to supply parts when there is zero shortage of the exact same parts to build new cars on the production line?ThisInJapanese said:
Is there a way to switch the headlights from UK to Euro spec? I'm off on a Euro road trip next month and wondering if I need deflectors or I can do it automatically.
As I understand it you don’t need deflectors as the headlights are set for both UK and European driving.Gassing Station | Alpine | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
