Alpine A110 owners

I don't see how changing the bolts will stop them coming loose - Loctite would do that happily enough. You wouldn't happen to know if there is a seat height adjuster that would work with the Pure seats though, would you?
I thought that to, just added expense. I recently replaced the wheel bearings on my high mileage Caterham and loctite now do a thread lock product in a tube dispenser like prit stick, so easy to use & no mess. This was for the brake calliper retaining bolts. If I ever swap the Caterham for an A110 I am going to miss the cheap servicing, it costs me very little as I do it all myself.
Talking servicing costs, I can't believe what a total rip off the wiper blades are. Very useful advice someone finding a modified Volvo blade will fit at a fraction of the price, well done.

If you have a Caterham (which you may well have built) no-one bats an eyelid at home servicing. Get a Porsche and many buyers will turn their noses at Indy Porsche specialist servicing (utterly crass in my view). Edited by K800 RUM on Sunday 6th June 18:24
Unfortunately there isn't (as yet) any real alternative to the widely dispersed UK Alpine dealers. Hopefully that will be resolved either by more numerous RS dealers or respected Indys.

Gah - so frustrating. My missus got a positive test result on her day 8 test so we're both now having to quarantine again for another 10 days. I really want to get out and drive the Alpine and get through the running in period (not to mention get the paintwork sorted)
PS: in case you think I'm heartless / selfish. She's totally asymptomatic and we're both double-vaccined so it's almost certainly a false positive but we have to do the right thing

Anybody got experience with leather-care? I’ve got the Legende brown leather interior and it looks fab but would value suggestions for keeping it that way.
What’s the best way to treat minor scuffs and creases? Also concerned about the colour fading: the car gets sun on the dash all morning and I don’t want it going pale and nasty like a 1970s Austin Maxi…

Pop round you can take the leather care kit, my Renaultsport being Alcantara doesn't need it. Modern stuff unlikely to fade, but you can get dye kits/ specialist to recolour - is there not an Alpina windowshade you could buy to protect it and the top of the dash? Just keep it treated will minimise creases, scuffs can be a pain with modern stuff but again if gets to much there are scuff kits/ see specialist. What’s the best way to treat minor scuffs and creases? Try these products. Specialist stuff, give them a call for advice. What’s the best way to treat minor scuffs and creases? Also concerned about the colour fading: the car gets sun on the dash all morning and I don’t want it going pale and nasty like a 1970s Austin Maxi…
Used it on vintage car leather.

Sorry I don't know of any other seats that will fit. I have seen seats come loose when the bolts haven't been changed even though thread lock has been used. Not worth the risk.Tim Jones Alpine Solihull said:

Ok thanks. Sounds like a manufacturing issue if that’s the case. Looks like the A110 isn’t for me unfortunately
I think given your restrictions (and I'm not going to argue with them) you're probably right. The only thing I can think of that might work is a booster seat for your wife. Only you know if that's worth suggesting.

So is it new bolts every time you make an adjustment on the pure seats? Just torque them up properly Sporky said:

You’d have no such problem with the Legende’s comfort seats? I’m 6ft1, my wife is 5ft3. The seat is on its highest setting - which is how I like it - still have plenty of headroom; my wife just slides the seat forward.
The fixed seats do seem a bit incongruous in this day and age… It’s not as though the A110 is just a track weapon!

As above, I hate leather seats and the Legende ones are too wide for me. Agree about the fixed seats - stupid decision based on cost-cuttingThe fixed seats do seem a bit incongruous in this day and age… It’s not as though the A110 is just a track weapon!

Hi WWW,Actually, nothing to do with cost-cutting, more to do with weight-saving i.e. 20 Kg saving c.f. the Legende seats. I agree, the A110 doesn't look to be your cup of tea. All success with the Emira.
