Not had to replace mine but I did a search on the French Alpine forum and the only suggestion, beyond buying the Apline parts, was to remove the blades and replace the rubbers with ones from eBay or the like. Let me know if you want the link.

These as a used proposition look very tempting at the moment. I've got my eye on a Pure, the one below in fact which happens to be very close to me.

Any thoughts on the spec?

Seems very good value and I wonder if I'm missing something.
Looks like a good spec for the money. For me it’s got all the right options you’d want or need and if I hadn’t of gone for the ‘S’ the spec is pretty much what I would have ordered. Only thing it doesn’t say it has is the larger brakes, but they’re only really needed if you’re doing track work.

Take it for a test drive, you won’t be disappointedsmile

I see group Renault F1 team becomes the Alpine F1 team next season! I wonder if they’ll be any complimentary tickets for Alpine owners wink

Another vote for the fixed seats, but at the end of the day it’s what you’re comfortable in that counts smile

Agree with everything BCR says. If you’re seeing Jason ask for the ‘long’ test drive, takes about 30-40 minutes and gives you a good insight into the cars ability. In terms of finance, I took my ‘S’ on a very similar basis to what you’re proposing but didn’t secure a discount I’m afraid. Enjoy the test drive smile

Not seen those before. Can’t comment personally but an owner on another forum was saying how much ‘gunk’ had collected in his radiators recently so might not be a bad idea.

Good to hear we might have some more owners soon. On the SE I don’t find it obtrusive at all on my S, in normal mode it’s quite docile and quiet at motorway speeds. It does crack and bang in sports mode but I guess that’s the whole point and appeals to the 20yr old in me wink

Sorry to hear Jason has left Winchester he was a pleasure to deal with, I know he’s on here so hope all’s well?

I agree, I have picked up a couple on the front lip and one on a mirror annoyingly. Will try and see how much touch-up paint is from the dealer next time I go in.

I think I’m lucky as I have the later type ‘D’ ring type, but agree a good dab of copper ease or grease works a treat.

Interested to hear views from S owners and how stiff the car is and how they deal with UK blacktop ?

The used market is tricky at the moment and a few nice spec S’s out there.

My gut says non S but the original EVO review sounds pretty compelling !! Is it really that bad or is it just ‘compared’ to the non S Alpine ?

Trying to test drive one but struggling due to lock down !!!!

I wonder if you can go ‘backwards’ with the Life kit ????
I’ve owned an S since March and have covered just over 3k miles since then. I too was torn between a spec’d up Pure or the S and in the end I went for the S on the basis it had all the options I wanted as standard plus I loved the orange detailing and in the scheme of things it wasn’t that Much more cost wise. I had previously had an Exige 240pp and an Elise S Cup so I was used the the firmer ride so don’t find that a big issue, but it is fair to say it is less ‘compliant’ than the standard car. Rightly or wrongly I was also had the thought that having bought a Pure that I might always be wondering “what if I’d bought the S?”

If it wasn’t for lockdown And working form home I would quite happily run it as a daily, indeed I gave up my company car to buy it.

Whatever you decide you won’t be disappointed, they are great cars, even the wife likes driving it which couldn’t be said for the Lotus’....not sure that’s a good thing though smile

Happy hunting.
