New ‘S’ ordered yesterday from Cambridge dealer.... Also managed to spec the darkened front headlights which I wasn’t sure was possible with thunder grey but seems it is.
A very nice spec! How do the darkened front headlight look like? Are they available only for the S?

Just put a deposit down on the ex-demo Pure at Winchester. Orange Sanguine with the black Serac wheels.

Hopefully collecting on Friday in time for a run down to Cornwall. Not sure why I'm more nervous than excited!
Wow. Bet that looks stunning. Congratulations!

New ‘S’ ordered yesterday from Cambridge dealer. Delivery ‘in June’. Hopefully that remains the case and it doesn’t slip too much. Allegedly the last spec amendable build slot they had. Have t driven the new one and whilst I cynically doubt I will feel any performance enhancement I secretly hope I will be pleasantly surprised.

Now the long 8 week wait……
Also hearty congrats… 8 weeks isn’t bad - my Legende was six months from order to delivery. Well worth it though - absolutely love it!!

Widely reported, but haven't seen it on here yet?.............

Production of the Alpine might move to Lotus from Renault, it has been revealed.
An extension of the previously announced electric collaboration.

I think this only refers to the EV successor of the A110 rather than the existing ICE car.

Not an Alpine owner, only a long term Caterham owner but I have admired the A110 since launch.

From the outside looking in, I'm really not keen on that rear spoiler on the new S, ruins the clean lines.

IMHO you understand. wink

It is optional (and expensive!). I agree with you - unless it’s mostly a track day car I’d leave off the extra aero bits.

There’s always the nice boot lid spoiler from Life110:

Decided to stick with thunder grey as any atelier colour, fire orange or white(?!) will push the order into November. Fancied steel grey but didn’t want the longer wait. No carbon kits available, though have spec’d the carbon roof. Though wasn’t worried about the carbon kit as notwithstanding the performance enhancement, I really don’t like the tail mounted spoiler, spoils the lines of the car for me. Toyed with the microfibre pack but just looks like it will be a headache to maintain. Premium focal audio which I have now and enjoy, and gone for orange stitching with orange seat belts….should be interesting. Also managed to spec the darkened front headlights which I wasn’t sure was possible with thunder grey but seems it is.

GT Race wheels. Mirror pack and reversing camera. Think that’s it!

Track day at thruxton ‘thrown in’…though unsure how ‘thrown in’ that really is.

Very jealous. I am currently seriously considering one. I need to time it right for reasons not worth boring anyone with. So i'm after a Jan-23 delivery.

Anyway - lead time; was Nov (ordering today) based purely on special paint? I'd like to get a Pure and have a certain set of options on it so it will pretty much be custom - wondered if that was the lead time (even if i just wanted the standard alpine blue metallic!).

Also I saw Dan Prosser did a factory visit to see his being made. Is this as a journo or an owner? I guess i'm asking - if you order new - can you do this? Also can you do Dieppe collection and drive it home?

Sorry lots of questions!

How important are the upgraded brakes? If i ever buy one I would want the life a110 wheels but if you want the bigger brake kit you have to fork out for the bigger optional wheels

I do like the Life rear spoiler, much neater.

Don’t think you can do a factory pick up - but maybe worth asking. I got mine 2 weeks ago - ordered last November - just under 6 month wait for mine. Didn’t think colour made any difference to lead time tbh…you just get a build slot.

I got bigger wheels, telemetrics, front and rear sensors and a few other little bits as options. The car is fantastic.

He visited the F1 team factory in Enstone FYI.

I recently asked about a Dieppe factory tour - the information I got was Tuesdays only, and 9am to 11am. Sadly the availability didn't line up with my plans so I didn't ask more.

I have doubts about a Dieppe collection for us due to Brexit - my understanding is that a car has to physically be in the UK to be registered (and pay taxes etc), and then transported back.

Apologies, I misread! I saw he visited Enstone a couple weeks ago.

New to the forum and quite thankful to the vast amount of information to be drawn out of this thread as a soon-to-be A110 owner.

Fell in Love with the car during a weekend-test drive. I was surprised that I could get the test car for two days when I heard other Alpine centers won‘t let you drive the cars without a sales person in the passenger seat.

The car won me over after a few kilometers and I was able to test it properly to check whether I could live with it as it is going to be my only daily drive. So it has to cope with commuting and carrying groceries as well as being a fun and sporty drive on country roads, but also capable of Autobahn cruising.

Therefore, the A110 GT I terstdrove felt perfect for the job.
The Sabelt adjustable seats are marvelously comfortable, yet they keep you in place when cornering.

Did not take me long to put my signature under the contract.

I am getting the actual car I testdrove in June.

A110 GT, Tonnerre grey (or thunder grey for the UK folks) with silver Serac wheels, brown leather.
Options are sports exhaust, mirror-, parking-, storage pack, Focal Premium, Alpine fender badges.

For winter tires I will choose Grandprix alloys, but still debating whether I like the quirky Legende ones better. Any thoughts?

I am getting the most relevant parts protected with PPF and I will have the A110 GT badge removed, since I think it is a cleaner look without it.

Also getting one of the Velcro leather storage boxes for the Interieur.

Does anybody have any experience with the „Central storage space“ add on from the official Accessory catalogue?

Thinking about changing the shift paddles and first I thought I‘d get the LifeA110s but now I am focused on the ones from MP Rezeau, as they are even longer and I enjoy the Golfball pattern on the back side.
https://www.mp-rezeau.fr/produit/palettes-pour-alp...

Does anybody have experience with them?

BTW any other German A110 owners here to connect and share experiences?

Welcome! Absolutely not surprised it won you over so quickly, and that's a lovely spec, congratulations. It's great at all the things you list (just don't put the ice cream in the rear luggage area).

I think the Grand Prix alloys are wider than Seracs (same width as Fuchs), so might be better used as summer rims - put the winter tyres on the narrower Seracs? I have a set of Legende rims for winter tyres, they're quite heavy but hide my dirty brake calipers well. Only my opinion, but I'd say the Fuchs are the 'best' all round - light (forged), wide and really easy to clean.

Ref PPF - make sure you cover the sills, the section just in front of the rear wheels takes a beating. There's a dedicated thread somewhere on here!

Ref Velcro storage box - check the Interior Storage Solutions thread, it's likely you have the newer carpet, which (amazingly) does not work with velcro - but there are solutions.

Ref Central Storage Space - I have seen this on a demo car, it's a moulding which uses the 'cupholder' boss to provide a larger, squarer, open receptacle. I imagine it's perfect if you regularly transport a pint of milk? I could use it, but currently have a double cupholder adapter in that are (more useful to me).

The Legende seats are wider than the buckets so (I believe) the storage box won't fit between seat and sill either. Another poster mounted it further forward - but you may find it gets kicked when getting in and out..

I'm with Nick on using a double cupholder adapter.
