Mainland European deliveries commenced in 2017 - U.K. deliveries were supposed to commence in March 2018 but this was delayed until August 2018.

Deliveries started at the end of 2017, so it is indeed over 3 years old.

Despite what Wiki says the first European customer deliveries were in April 2018. (I think they might have delivered one in March to meet a declared deadline).

Ah, my mistake. The Renault Group site also says end of 2017.

Not convinced we'll see them that cheap by end of summer next year though.

I think the limited registrations coupled with price rises will keep residuals strong.
When I took the plunge 3 months ago I did wonder what might happen but now much more optimistic.

Keep it for a very long time or never sell it and future value is also no worry wink

All that said resale values are probably the highest in it's class so cost of ownership is very low. Ariel Atoms, Caterhams and Morgans may depreciate a bit less but not many (if any) mainstream sportscars.

Obviously depends on area. I think others have had quotes (include me) of half or less of your quote. What do the price comparison sites say? Don't think the Alpine attracts a premium - was much the same as my Cayman 981S, perhaps a bit less.
Finally found some time to shop around smile

Insurance market is bonkers, now down to a very sensible £306 annual premium which is comparable with other stuff in the fleet, pretty happy with that.

Hi All,
just put a deposit down, does anybody have any ideas on current waiting times, all a bit vague from dealers.

I put a deposit down on a Legend GT at the beginning of October. Just been told I should have it the end of March.

Nothing JUST about that! A Pure would be my choice to. I like the Serac wheels. Which colour? For me French racing blue is the only colour.

Why do people buy these cars? 1K miles & that has to be coming up 3 years old being a PE car. Do they just look at it?

My thoughts exactly. The answer surely has to be "not as much of a premium as you were perhaps hoping for..." Three years looking pretty, not actually enjoying it and absorbing some, albeit not a huge amount, of depreciation.

I'm planning to pounce on an A110, probably new given the strong residuals I'm not sure why bother with a 2nd hand one when I can spec my own. It'll be no garage queen and plenty of road trips are in mind when we are able to do that sort of thing again.

I do way over a thousand miles on my annual road trip to Germany & Austria and that is in a Caterham over 5 days!

I do arrive rather knackered after the 500 miles drive from Kent to the Black Forrest and our guest house. Hence after doing this eight times I'm thinking of a A110 which would be much easier & the wife could come to.

A breeze in an A110 400 miles a day is no problem. Of course an Elise is a half way house - and which you might prefer could depend on your OH. Mine never went anywhere in my Caterham, only rarely in my Elise (and only drove under duress) - happy enough to travel or take over the driving in the Alpine.
