Absolutely a thing. I also flashed and thumb-up'd a 4C driver last weekend, to which he kindly returned.

Happily also have 2 other Alpine owners near me now so just in the process of arranging a cheeky beer-based catch up!

Thanks for the reassurance: I flashed a bleu Alpine yesterday, but maybe he thought I was a reflection! Mrs L had waved to him earlier, thinking it was me until she saw the registration, so perhaps he's feeling persecuted!

Snap. There’s a 4C near me and we always flash / wave when out and about. And definitely on the rare occasion I see another A110… last time was just passing Leighton Buzzard.

More confusingly I couldn’t help but wave at an A110 when approaching the Alps on a trip last summer. Unfortunately we were in my wife’s SLK, which may have perplexed the other driver somewhat!

Not sure if the same thing but my seatbelt receiver (is that the correct term for pedants?) was making a lot of noise over bumps. Bit of sticky felt sorted it out. If you put your seatbelt together and pull it around you might get the noise which was really irritating!
My 2018 model has a few rattles and knocks to sort. One is definitely coming from the passenger seatbelt hanger, so assume some felt tape wodged in there else the hassles of a long trip to a service centre, then leave the car there for... time for them to investigate ...etc etc. I saw on a youtube clip that a BMW with a similar knocking sound over bumps turned out to be a worn washer which made up the hanger assembly. I also have a knocking / tapping noise coming from (I think) within the passenger side lower dash area which appears at tick-over revs. Am not certain but there may even be a noise coming from a heat shield though this could be the aforementioned lower dash item. Its the little, non-structural details with these Dieppe beasts that irritate isn't it

Another promised delivery date slips by today...

Exactly 2 months since it arrived in the country.

That is terrible service. My dealer at Orpington arranged for my car to be delivered to the showroom before Christmas, I did not have to kick up a fuss, he just did it. Weather conditions have limited me to about 400 miles though.

Enjoyed it. Pity Harry didn’t have a quick go in the A110 on the R53’s, would’ve made a nice video.

I actually saw another A110 while in mine today. Abyss Blue, about five past one, between Grayshott and Headley. I waved.

Congrats!

Do you mind me asking what caused your delays?

They claimed logistical issues. However, one message to the head of Alpine UK on LinkedIn in and the car arrived within 48 hours...

That’s most odd! This is from Martins Winchester? This is where I’ve ordered mine from. It’s now due to leave the factory 03/03/2023, and I’m hoping to get it in April.

Correct. Felt like he wasn't actually doing anything to hurry the car along. Just that he was accepting that it kept getting pushed back. Was annoyed as about 5 weeks ago we agreed on a delivery date, but I assume they would have missed it had I not complained higher up the chain.

Hope it’s all forgotten when you pick up on Wednesday! Have a great day, look forward to the pics smile

From the gorgeous 2022 Concours d'Elegance Soestdijk. Superb weather conditions and friendly company made for a wonderful day out.

Crowd pleaser Alpine Renault A110 in striking Lemon Yellow is a tiny thing. But I barely fit, which rises the opportunity to one day drive a 1300 or 1600.

Re the delays.

Factory in France is investigating some issues on cars recently so deliveries are being held up.
