Hi all

I'm keen to buy one of these soon, coming from a Lotus and Porsche background I think they offer everything I'm looking for.
I have been looking at the cars for sale on Autotrader and wondered if anyone knew anything about any of the 3 Premiere editions currently for sale?
They seem to have been on the market for a while, I'd be interested to hear from any current owners if they wish they had gone for a Premiere over what they currently have or vice versa? Would you pick an S, Pure or Legende knowing what you do now?
TIA
Max
I've also been looking for a number of months now. The market is a mess. Last year I could have picked up a one owner PE with 2K miles for £43K. wasn't in a position to take that so now really pains me to pay more money for an older car with more miles and more owners. The PE in Blackpool is in for "prep" paintwork and wheel refurbishment at the moment!!!!! not had any info back on the others yet. Surprising for supposedly such a great car how many owners they seem to have gone through. I understand some were purchased as investments but those days surly have past.

Good luck with your search. Dealers are very hard to get hold of too which makes me nervous about the aftersales support .
Might just buy the FE Elise and be done with the Alpine thing for now. smile

That's worrying when it's done less than 3k miles! Interesting if you exclude new cars or pre reg there are only 14 for sale on AT.

Isn't that good there are so few available and prices appear stronger for older cars than was the case when they were a bit newer 12-18 months ago?
I'd much rather there be a surplus of demand over supply to keep the residuals high. As detractors are so keen to point out that its a fancy Renault, the worst thing Alpine could do is saturate the market as it doesn't have the brand strength of Porsche to keep the punters, new or used, lining up so flooding the market would be a mad idea.

In my view, Alpine as a product is fabulous. Its market perhaps a bit more discerning and overall that market is smaller than for the more mainstream alternatives. There is no question of the car's brilliance - every review confirms that. And for the owners, Alpine would be well advised to manage the supply carefully to keep it a little exclusive/overpriced (however you look at it). It would certainly put me off if values fell off a cliff in the 2nd hand market - brilliant car or not. If that means it's hard to find bargains for those wanting to churn one, so be it.

Bit tricky as I don't think it's possible to order the spec I have any more - 17s with heated comfort seats.

If it was still possible to have heated comfort seats in a Pure then I'd do that again.

Why not get a Legende instead then, if you wanted the comfort seats? I know you could order a Pure, with Legende seats in the past (not now anymore)...but it just makes it a Legende in essence. Or was the 17" wheels of the pure the thing that you wanted?

I'd agree with that. Even if you do want to churn it you will get most of your money back as the entry gate is circa £42k and has been for some while. With new prices increasing it will help the used residuals further. Finances aside it is very much a discerning choice and thankfully not ostentatious which seems to be the current industry fashion.

Basically I'm overthinking it (as I do with pretty much everything) - I like the 17s, but the 18s are OK, except I'm not mad fond of the Legende ones, so would upgrade to Seracs, and suddenly that's quite a lot more money. Similarly the matte carbon fibre in the Pure is more appealing than the gloss in the Legende.

When I bought mine I compared the specs of what I wanted, starting with either the Pure or the Legende, and the Legende came out several thousand pounds more than the Pure. Now that you can't order a Pure with comfort seats (though it was hinted that it might be possible to special order that combo) I'd have to go for a Legende if I ever need to replace mine.

Does anyone have info on the Life geo set up for the A110S? Lots of reviews of the base car but I cannot find anything on the S. Something I am considering for the future.

All the settings are here https://life110.co.uk/collections/alpine-a110-tuni...

It says includes those for the S. They are free!

Thanks. Yes I have already downloaded them ( and ordered the lip spoiler!). I was wondering if there were any reviews of the difference to standard or any owners that had it done to see if it was worth doing.

Not sure you've seen that A110/110S/Life110 comparision from last year, if that helps :

Just thinking aloud..... scratchchin

At the top end with new colour edition S models costing around £67K, do owners think they are worth that much?

To me no - but others typically spend around £10k on Porsche extras - and some spend much more. I personally wouldn't spend 4k on a special colour - but Porsche owners do plus much more on extra leather, contrasting stitching etc etc. If some Alpine owners are prepared to spend those sort of figures, it must help to make the car profitable and therefore economically viable. For the rest of us that is surely a good thing.

At that price point there are other options that give the Alpine a tough time, not just new but used.

It feels well worth 50k to me and I'd even stretch to a funky colour at 4k (is that what they are?) but beyond that I don't think so.

True; the matte carbon (Pure) is nicer then the gloss carbon (Légende). We almost specced a Pure to fully Légende spec just to have the matte carbon (end price was equal). But in the end we decided not to do this; because if we would ever sell the car then it would be a more expensive Pure model because of all the Légende options. This could be confusing for future used A110 buyers. It's generally known that the Pure is a little cheaper then a Légende when ordered new.

Not sure that would be a problem. The PE is a "Pure" specced (rear camera/front parking sensors apart) well beyond a Legende.

To me, no, but that's partly because I don't want the S suspension. Or yellow. Mid fifties works.

I think it is good they give buyers the option.
Even at 60k plus with atelier colours it’s competitive for such a personalised vehicle.
I personally wouldn’t spend that on a paint job but I’m pleased the option is there.

Nope, not for me. I actually quite like some of the different colours but I wouldn’t pay extra for it vs a good used option.
