I never found a traction issue with the standard Michelin in the winter- I did adapt my driving but don’t think I was driving too gently-
No, me either (so far) - they're quite remarkable in that sense.

The aim here is to narrow my issue down to 'all winter tyres do that' or 'just Wintrac Pros do that', in case it helps somebody choose a better option than I have. smile

apologies- didn't know you'd already driven with the std tyres in the winter.

Only as far as early January this year - not a full winter! But I've driven it quite a lot in the past fortnight; my in-laws moved to Shropshire and I've found some glorious routes over there. Some days will have been warmer than others, but enough was comparable to confidently state "no traction issues on Michelin PS4s" and "some traction issues on Wintrac Pros" - much to my surprise.

(No apology needed!) smile

It’s something I noticed on the Conti TS850s on my Evora, certainly. It did seem that only the aggressive acceleration was really badly affected, however, with lateral grip and braking far ahead of the Cup 2 and PS4S tyres in cold conditions.

I’m led to believe a greased pig offers more grip than Cup2s in the cold.
