Can that be sourced via an Alpine dealer then? Looks more useful the original cup holder thing…
I'm heading to a dealer tomorrow so will look into it as I quite fancy one too

Yes it is now standard in all MY22 A110s and it can also be ordered via the Alpine centers as it is now part of the official accessory catalogue.

I wonder if anyone already has experience with aftermarket add ons, now that there is no cupholder anymore to put after market improvements into?

Excellent news. That’s my nearest dealer too (I’m in Bovingdon) though I bought the car from Martins in Winchester.

£90.89+VAT, available to order via France. Think I’ll order one next time I drop in.

Other options: The Roadster options As far as I am aware the front boot option is the only one f with wheels. I would agree with the previous poster that the fitted cases in the rear boot are not so valuable.

A much cheaper option are CabinZero bags for the front boot.

Finally the cheapest (zero cost!) option is to use the pouch which contains the user manual on the bulkhead. Take out the manual and it will fit travel documents , sunglasses, phone, face mask etc.

As mentioned by BCR above, Roadsterbag and Cabin Zero are great options.

A good and similar alternative to Cabin Zero is Eastpak Tranzpack 42L - also can be hand carried or carried on your back via the rugsack straps.

Roasterbag will also customize their bags (to a degree) and you can have their frunk luggage case without the wheels and trolley frame. It'll cost extra of course. I seriously considered this route but I really wanted luggage which had 2 main compartments and some minor zipped spaces which are handy when travelling. Roadster bag couldn't customise to this degree.

The other option which has been mentioned before and where customisation is possible is Bagworld. They have made several cases for the A110 and feedback is positive: https://bag-world.co/portfolio-item/surman_bespoke...

However, in the end, and out of necessity - as our 3 week road trip was looming and I needed to find a solution fast - I plumbed for Cabin Max and the Oxford case model. They work brilliantly and look good too. Quite durable too considering their price, and very presentable. Two of them in the frunk fills the whole space to the max. We are very happy to have chosen these to be honest. Perhaps later on we'll get a custom set made out of tan leather to match the GT 20 limited edition luggage cases for the rear boot - but to be honest the Oxfords are so good, it's not a priority.

Check them out: https://cabinmax.com/products/oxford-cabin-luggage...

After some months of research and visits to luggage stores armed with a measuring tape, I believe the above brands and models are just about the best luggage options you can find for the Alpine.

Happy touring!

That’s very helpful M… We’ve got to go to a wedding in Tuscany in July and since it’s around the time of our own 10th anniversary we’re going to make a trip of it and take the Alpine.

The Oxford bags look like an excellent solution smile

Can I ask please: from the later picture it looks like the stitching is blue - is that correct and roughly how much are they (UK) and are they sold each or per pair - finally can they be easily opened or is the flap wedged against the (bucket) seat frame - tia

Available singly - about £65 if I remember correctly. They open easily, there is just enough room. The stitching is blue on mine and I haven't seen any with stitching in any other colour.

In typical Health & Safety fashion (aka C.Y.A.) Alpine's leaflet helpfully indicates they are not supposed to be used on the driver's side:

I assume the argument is that it might slide forward and interfere with pressing the pedals. Absolutely no chance of that happening with the old carpet and bucket seats. More of an issue with the comfort seats and especially with new method of fixing on the later carpet.

Yep, all correct (£68 each when I bought them) - the only thing they foul on is the seat belt anchor if you mount them far back, as I did. Only an issue when accessing space behind the seats, if you see what I mean.

Fitted the new internal storage box to mine today, way more useful than the original cigarette ash cup. i have included a couple of photos showing the removal of the old unit.
The old unit pulls off from the front, just one clip. https://flic.kr/p/2nueVdGhttps://flic.kr/p/2nueVmh
I found the best way to install the new unit was to first fully tighten down the rear 10mm nut before the side 3mm screws to aide their location.

Just spent a week living out of the Cabin Zero bags, and my Muv pointed out something that I guess I've not wanted to acknowledge; that the 2/3 opening is a bit of a faff, and a full opening (like, er, the Cabinmax Oxfords) would be more convenient, particularly when packing and repacking daily.

It feels a bit daft to buy more bags on top of the Cabin Zeroes, but in case anybody hasn't plumped for one or t'other yet, this might be useful.

Handy to know, thanks - I'd assumed it just sat on top of what was there laugh

My only issue with the new box (price apart) is that I would be worried that access to the space behind the seat might be further hampered. Access already isn't great especially with the buckets, but there is a lot of space there for shorties like me and my OH.

I would add that the ultra cheap twin cupholder that fits neatly in the existing hole, also hampers access to the space behind the seats - but can be removed in seconds.

Does anyone on this esteemed board knows if two of these Alpine K-Way suitcases fit in the front compartment side by side? I am aware Cabinzero etc. are much cheaper but I prefer to have wheels...
