Perhaps we could have a discussion thread dedicated to A110 wheels? There is probably lots of information related to wheels on the huge Alpine A110 owners thread but it is quite difficult to find information on that very long thread. There is also a thread related to 17" wheels.

OEM wheels available from the factory

Currently the OEM wheels available to A110 are as follows:

A110:

- 17" "10-spoke" (standard)
- 18’’ "Grand Prix" wheels with black diamond cut finish
- 18“ “Sérac” wheels with black diamond cut finish
- 18“ “Fuchs” forged wheels
- 18“ "Fuchs" forged wheels in Thunder Grey

A110 GT:

- 18” “Légende” wheels with black diamond cut finish (standard)
- 18’’ "Grand Prix" wheels with black diamond cut finish
- 18“ “Sérac” wheels with black diamond cut finish
- 18“ “Fuchs” forged wheels
- 18“ "Fuchs" forged wheels in Thunder Grey

A110 S:

- 18” “GT Race” wheels black glossy finish (standard)
- 18” “GT Race” wheels with black diamond cut finish
- 18“ “Fuchs” forged wheels
- 18“ "Fuchs" forged wheels in Thunder Grey

This seems to be the current situation with the wheels based on the price list for the "new A110" from November 2021 onwards. Options have been slightly different earlier (perhaps somebody can clarify what were the options earlier?). There are also Atelier Alpine options where you can get some other colour options for the wheels.

The 17" wheels always come with the standard brakes with 296 mm brakes discs (front and rear). There is also an option called "High-performance front and rear Brembo® braking system (320 mm diameter)" ie. the big brakes option.

- The big brakes are not available with 17" wheels
- The big brakes are standard on A110 GT and A110 S
- The big brakes are mandatory option for A110 with all other 18" wheels except “Sérac” wheels even though the current prices lists say that the "Grand Prix" wheels could be ordered without big brakes.

Pictures of different wheels/cars with different wheels would be welcome to this thread as well as other discussion around wheels.

I will post another message to this thread to list some aftermarket wheels available for A110.

Example pictures of some of the OEM wheels:

- 17" 10-spoke:

- 18" Fuchs:

- 18" Serac:

- 18" Legende:

Aftermarket wheels available for A110

It seems like there are not that many aftermarket wheels available for A110 at the moment.

As far as I understand the wheel sizes for the the original A110 wheels are as follows:

- 18" Legende/Serac wheels: Front - 18" x 7J, ET29/Rear - 18" x 8J, ET40
- 18" Fuchs/GT Race wheels: Front - 18" x 7.5J, ET35/Rear - 18" x 8.5J, ET46
(This information is based on info on Life 110 web page)

Based on info on Evo Corse web page the some other key measurement of the A110 wheels are:

- PCD = 114.3
- Holes = 5
- Wheel center bore = 67.1

List of available aftermarket wheels:

- EVO Corse Alpine A110 Cup Wheels (supplied by Life 110)

- Ronal R41
Available in silver and black with German type approval for A110. Size 8x18, ET35/8x18 ET42

- Ress Motorsport wheels
Two different 18" wheel designs available.

- This French site lists "Evo Corse Pista A110" and "Fondmetal 9RR wheels for A110"
Evo Corse Pista:

Fondmetal 9RR:

- EVO Corse lists wheels called "SanremoCorse 8x18"" for A110 with several different colours available

Anybody else know some other aftermarket wheels for A110?

I rather like the Evo Corse Cup wheels from Life110 but waiting for an opportunity to drive the A110 hire car which has been kitted out with all the A110 kit to see if I like it or whether just to keep the car as standard.

It will be interesting to see what other wheels are available so will be bookmarking this thread.

AFAIK, Fuchs come fitted with 205/235 section tyres unless the car is an S, in which case factory supplied tyres are 215/245 section. Can anyone confirm?

Configurator says 235 for the S - though there have been plenty of errors on the configurator in the past so I wouldn't treat is gospel, though I always thought the tyres were the same size, if not the same spec.

This is true. It even shows up in the configurator, if you run an S/non-S config on two browser tabs biggrin

That is an interesting find. They seem to be pretty light also. Looking at the Protrack's own site they claim the weights as follows:

- 8x18" = 8.8 kg per wheel
- 9x18" = 9.1 kg per wheel

They also list sizes 7.5x17" and 9x17" with 5x114.3 PCD and ET 45. I wonder if they could be fitted to A110 also. The claimed weights on those sizes are 7.6 kg and 8.2 kg.

As far as I understand the Fuchs wheels should be the lightest OEM wheels. I found some info on the French FAR forum that the weight of 4 Fuchs wheels would be 75 kg (18.75 per wheel) which I assume must be the weight of 4 wheels and tyres in total. The same site lists Serac wheel weights as 82 kg. Does somebody have more info on actual weights of different wheels?

Legende rims:
18x7 front: 10.9kg
18x8 rear: 11.1kg

Only know this as I bought a set for winter.

Interesting thread thank you.

I’m interested in trying some equally light weight 17’s back to back with my 18” Fuchs & big brakes.

Is it me or does there look a lot of rubber in the profile in the image above, I wonder if these are in fact 17” ?

These are the Fondmetal 9RR wheels and looking at Fondmetal configurator they only list 18" as available for A110.

https://www.fondmetal.com/en/configurator

However the French site where this picture was taken lists also size 7x17" for A110.

https://teamdynamics.fr/jantes-alpine/

It does look like there is lots of rubber in that picture. Who knows if they are 17" or 18". Perhaps black wheels make it look like there is more rubber.

By the way there seems to be three different colours available on that wheel for A110, Glossy Gold, Matt Black and Glossy Silver.

With regards to weight the claimed weights for Fondmetal 9RR seem to be:

- 7x17" = 7.8 kg
- 7x18" = 8.8 kg
- 8x18" = 9.3 kg

Corse Evo Pista A110 claimed weights:

- 8x17" = 9.4 kg
- 8x18" = 10.3 kg
- 9x18" = 10.6 kg

This is correct but it is not per wheel but per car:

A110, Pure, Legende, GT - all 18" tyres are 205/40 18" front and 235/40 18" rear - and are Michelin PS4 DT1 spec - on Fuchs, Legende and Serac wheels

A110S - all on 18" tyres which are 215/40 18" front and 245/40 18" rear - Michelin PS4 DT1 spec - on Fuchs and GT Race wheels

I have tested these tyres back to back, the A110S tyres have more grip and more accurate steering without any ride penalty. They do have less grip in cold and wet conditions. I also think the A110S tyres fill the arches nicer - they are 8mm bigger diameter.

Great thread idea BTW.

I bought some shim spacers based on these measurements, and they're fine, but the centre bore is more like 66.8mm.

FTR, the OE wheel bolts are M12x1.5mm, 26mm thread length, 60º taper, 17mm hex head.

Thanks for bringing that up. I got the information related to center bore from Evo Corse website where the say that the "Wheel center bore" for A110 wheels is 67.1 mm. They do also have a measurement called "CB" (Center bore?) which they say is 66.1 mm. I'm not knowledgeable enough to understand the difference. Can somebody clarify what do these two measurements mean?

Looking at the information provided by other aftermarket wheel providers I can see the following:

- Ronal says on their website that the center bore would be 82 mm on their R41 wheel for A110. On the type approval document for these wheels it says that "Mittenlochdurchmesser" is 82 mm and "Zentierring" is 66.1 mm.
- That was only information related to center bore which I could find for the available A110 wheels. I did however find a site called wheel-size.com where they say that the center bore would be 66.1 mm. I don't know how reliable the information on that site is.

I'm not an expert on these but could it be so that the actual center bore on A110 is 66.1 mm and the other measurements mentioned are the actual size of the specific wheel center bore which will the be reduced to correct size by some kind of adapters/centering ring?

Am contemplating ‘Weiss gold” Evo’s” from life a110 wheels with spacers. I really don’t want to go to lowered stiffer springs…genuinely fear it’ll harm everything i love about this car on local B roads but would love to change the slightly dainty stance. I don’t do tracks anymore. Is there a solution?

Get in contact with David at Life110 and I'm sure he'll have a solution.
