After approximately 2 hours of having my phone plugged in and doing audio through the cars audio system, the connection will drop.

The sockets are then unresponsive (don’t charge other devices). And i cannot connect any device to the car through Bluetooth or usb, basically it’s crashes and freezes but just for the media options on the audio.

The fix is to get the audio system to restart, which requires turning the car off and leaving it for a bit. Or running it through Bluetooth and charging via the cigarette socket.

Is this a ‘feature’ of just my car or do others have this quirk? Car isn’t under warranty anymore, so just taking it to the dealer isn’t the preferred option!

I’m glad you mentioned it ‘cos it is defiantly a feature of our car !! Very frustrating but I’ve never got round to doing anything about it.

Ours was 1st reg Jan’20.

Here’s hoping somebody knows what it is ? I can walk to dealer from the office so will pop in for a chat when I get 5.

I had a similar experience with bluetooth cutting out regularly which I endured since the car was new ('21). However I mentioned it to my dealer when I brought the car over for its first service - and they reinstalled the Bosch software, problem solved! No cut out's at all and everything works just fine. They also advised that sometimes it also helps to update mobile device software.
