Great to meet you all and not an anorak in sight!!

Really interesting people so the Alpine clearly appeals to better types..

Apologies for the random routing in search of breakfast, but perhaps ICE next time?

Still pressing buttons to see what comes up on the display but yesterday I discovered pressing both + & - audio buttons mutes the sounds.. Small steps..

Looking fwd to next meet. Rgds Rowland

Me again ... well, NOT "Dunmow Des" anymore ... I think "Vintage Des" is more appropriate: as in wine, obviously.

Probably "vintage cars" is more appropriate though. Recently/still owned include:
1903 6HP De Dion-Bouton - terrifying at 30mph into Brighton!
1913 Delage - gorgeous.
1916 Talbot 25/50 - first car to do 100miles in the hour (watch Percy Lambert on YouTube at Brooklands February 1913).
1932 Talbot 105 Team Car - winner of Alpine Trial in 1932.
1973 Citroen SM - owned since 1978.
And everyone NEEDS a few projects!!

A bit of a French theme there, topped off with the Alpine, the best pure (ha ha) drivers' car since the Elan.

yes certainly a nice bunch of normal people lol.

the up and down on the end of right stalk cycles through things like the turbo and gas %, compass, revs, settings menu etc. useful stuff.

Hi all, starting this thread for us Alpine owners in the East Anglia region covering Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambs. Idea is to have a monthly meet one Sunday morning a month. If you can start off saying who you are and where based and your model. Look forward to meeting up!

I am Stu, based Castle Hedingham north Essex and have a Pure with matte blue wrap.
I’m Simon, in Ongar, Essex. I have an Alpine A110 PE in Alpine blue, with LIFE110 springs, geo, spacers, brakes, paddles and induction.

Hi all,

I’m a bit out of area (Northamptonshire) but could be up for the next meet if one happens / I’ll keep an eye on this thread.

All

I’m sure you’ve all been asked to do something for a loved one or family member and this time I too have been asked if I would help try and at an event my dad has organised in Suffolk.

My dad has recently been through a bad bout of cancer and has asked me if I could help try and raise awareness of an event he is organising at little cornard church nr Sudbury in suffolk (CO10 0PE).

I’m trying to get together some performance cars including Ashby of our wonderful alpine A110s.

Would any of you be able to come along and display your cars for a few hours in sunny Suffolk at 10am on Sunday 11th Sept?

I’d really appreciate it if possible

I should be there in my new S

Can you let me know do you can attend? Be eternally grateful.

Thanks

I’m without the Alpine at the moment but might be able to bring the Stag along if that would be of interest

Hi Jamie, would certainly have come along but I am at football match Sunday hopefully watching West Ham give those Geordies a thrashing!

Hope the event goes well and best wishes to your dad.

Good to meet you as well. Hope to see you at the next meet if my car is fixed.
Funny that I have to use a 50 year old car when the “new” one breaks down…
