Wheel Bolts

Anyone got this issue?

Car is 10 months old & done 1650 miles

I guess it's touch up or plastic caps, all 4 alloys the same

Can't tell from the pic if it's surface damage/corrosion or deposit from cleaning/waxing products. They actually look like plastic caps in the pic.

edit: locking wheel bolt looks to have similar colouration. Plastic caps are usually available to both protect these and make them look the same as the other bolts.

I had this on a previous car with those caps - not with the Alpine yet, but I presumed it was something to do with harsh cleaning products.
Replaced with a set from ebay.. twice I think, after a year each time

They're plastic caps , the usual suspect for that discolouration is acid based wheel cleaner

That does not look good, as if the paint was removed by some corrosive cleaner. Mine still look pretty much like new after 5 months and 5,000 miles, and having washed the car twice (by hand, and using Shell wheel cleaner).

They are actually black plastic caps and the wheel bolts are silver

I already have them for my bmw and porsches. super light and doesn't rust. makes taking wheels off easier as well. Pls check for fitment with vendor before u order.

M12x1.5 26mm thread length

This is a common size, shared with most BMW E-models (before they went M14).

Even some lightweight steel bolts (e.g. hollow centres) will save 450g off the OE items.

titanium is overkill but i wanted to change to studs and just like the look.

Disc also looks very slightly rusty, like someone has been spraying cheap acidic wheel cleaner over everything. Also you're missing a cap on the looking wheel nut?

Yes the car was ex demo and arrived like that

New caps now in place
