For anyone that's interested, Tarox sell discs that will fit both the front and rear of the Alpine and they've just listed them on their site rather than having to look for Clio RS3 etc.
I'd been interested in getting some but wasn't really a fan of their groove designs as they just looked too 'busy'. The model I'm referring to is the F2000. However, I've just spoken to them and they can do a different design called the C83. It's isn't listed on their site just yet but if you get in contact they can supply them.
Link to the F2000 disc (listed as Front, but will fit on the rear without issues)

I'm interested in the AP 2-piece disc and bell set up with RSL29,
That's what i'm using now with my m3 track car and it brakes better than any other car i had. including RS porsches.
I do think suspension, tyres play a large part but i also think the weight savings of 2-piece and pad choice will also be attractive

Is this the rotor set MP-R (in France) are selling? I guess so.That's what i'm using now with my m3 track car and it brakes better than any other car i had. including RS porsches.

they offer significant weight savings.

I was simply going by what i have on my E46 track car.
I was originally thinking there must be off the shelf kits from AP for this

My car has 296mm discs all round, to fit 320mm size do I need to change the caliper mounting to allow for the wider discs?
If so, what are people using.
On the front you can just space the caliper off the hub.If so, what are people using.
On the rear you would need to replace the whole hub.
It is unlikely that the car actually “needs” the 320mm rear discs unless it was running very large front discs.

Sorry I meant only the front discs for my query, thanks for the info though. On the rear you would need to replace the whole hub.

Hi all
Checking if the conclusions here remain the same - no need to upgrade rear discs for track, just front discs?
For rear pads, is it a problem to buy pads that don’t have the alignment flowers / springs that the standard items have - I can’t find an aftermarket pad which has these - other than the MP Rezeau modded pads - trying to avoid import duty and vat on what is already an expensive pad at their pricing.
https://www.mp-rezeau.fr/produit/plaquettes-cl-pag...
But not sure if pads without these rattle a lot on the calipers?
Have been using CL RC 5+ on other cars and really like these - so wondering whether to chuck some of these in the back - but again, standard spec without the alignment parts.
Pic below of standard pads for reference - the Mp Rezeau modded ‘pins’ to do the same can be seen in Franzino’s pics earlier in the thread.

I can’t give you a direct answer except to say that I’ve run Porsches without those (on the Porsches they are a self adhesive thing you stick to the back of the pad) and had no problems.
I definitely recommend a can of Wurth Anti Squeal adhesive to bond the pad to the piston though. Works absolutely brilliantly.
(Edited to add - when I say “bond” I mean from a sound point of view. It doesn’t actually solidly glue the pad to the piston, but there is a level of “contact” adhesion to the product - it’s not just grease.)

The best track pads are Carbotech XP8. If you send your old pads to Ian at Carbotech Europe he will take the clips off them and fit them to some of his pads. The only downside to the XP8 on the rear is that they do squeal in road use. Alternatively, get the performance road pads for the rear from Life110. These are EBC Bluestuff and come with the clips fitted. According to David they are good enough on track and do not squeal on the road.
I've had XP8 fitted all round for 2 years on my A110 but will be going to the Bluestuff on the rear this weekend - purely due to the squeal which is from the rears, not the fronts.

Thank you.
Currently running girodisc and CL RC5+ pads on the front with standard discs and pads at the rear.
The car stops but it doesn’t have the bite / confidence inspiring feel of my last track car (ap calipers and CL RC5 all round).
So wondering how to best upgrade the rear to get some more of that.

Hi there
Where is best place to buy front XP8 pads for A110S, are they an easy fitment, no mods required?
Life110 list, but don't have stock.
I've ordered the braided hoses and Motul fluid but need the pads.

Yes, front pads are very easy to fit.
Thanks WWW. Much appreciated. Feel I now have a solution for brakes.
Will try to order from David / Life if possible - have emailed to ask when stock may be back in.
Not sure if you remember me - I was at the LoT day at Silverstone in November 2023 with a white Exige and asking dumb qns about Alpine.
Good to be making progress here.

I do indeed remember you, and no such thing as a dumb question. Only dumb answers! I'm aiming to be at Anglesey on BH Monday (28th May?) with LoT if you fancy it
For anyone interested in looking at other disc rotor options, Paul Spinks at Wortec fitted his lightweight high carbon fully floating discs to my A110S recently. These save 2kg per corner as well as improve ventilation. A few days later the car went to Mike at Konings in Winchester for an annual wash and brush up - photos attached.
